At your funeral what will you be wearing?

My wife and I were talking about crossdressing and this question came up.

"God forbid something should happen, but if it did, what would you like to have on for the viewing?"

"All of your friends and family members will come to your wake & funeral to say their last good-bys. How do you want to be seen, what do you want them to remember you wearing?"

Fully dressed, wig, makeup, dressed to the nines?
Half and half top in a drab suit with nylons and skirt and heels? (the skirt will be kept under the closed portion of your casket)
    Full drab? what?

I was stumped and supprised by the line of questions, I had no answer for her, but I thought that it would make a good poll and a good discussion point.

Now that I think about it, if I was to die today, half and half, It's just where I'm at.

BTW: Nice thought there honey, here's to another night without sleep.

Well, I can express my wishes but will have no control over what actually happens

I never did like the idea of an open casket, because so many people get creeped out by it. I wouldn't trust a funeral parlor to do my wig and makeup the way I wanted it anyway.

I wouldn't want to be rememberd by the appearance of my corpse. In my will, I just specified cremation. If there's a ceremony, they can always put up a picture of me next to the urn. Or two pictures? Hmmmm . . .

It's already in my living will -- I'm being cremated -- so clothing will not be an issue.

As my honey and I both plan on creamation it would not matter.

Thing is, we have talked about the big "what if??' That would be " What if something should happen to us both at the same time?" I scared myself thinking about that. (I think I am to morbid sometimes.) Didn't sleep much that night.

Still not sure about that one. I am pretty new to this and I suppose those are questions we all ask ourselves form time to time.

The dang unknown factor will probably always be there. I only hope that the ones that mean the most to us will not have to ask those questions.

    Interesting

This is a very silly thread, and as you know I am a very serious minded person and can't bear frivolous threads. I don't care what I will be wearing when I am dead, but I am aiming to be the first male person ever to be killed while wearing full Gangsters Moll outfit, stockings, benders, tight skirt the lot.

Cause of death....First alien contact landed on me accidentally.

It would give journalists a heart attack!!!

    (Which is no bad thing.)

    And another thing

Just to wobble your thread a little (sorry).

    Death and such etc etc.

There was a line in a comedy here in UK (Men Behaving Badly) and he said "Oh he's my porn buddy." And he then went on to explain that if he died suddenly, his 'porn buddy' would go round to his house before the relatives got there and clear out the porn movies.

So I think I need a "frilly undies and things I would really rather not have my relatives see...buddy."

If you have a SO that is cool , just drive carefully or use separate cars.

    Hi Paula,
Cremation is what my wife and I have decided . And if we both die at the same time we have a clause in our will that our animals will be well cared for as long as they live. The rest of our estate after nieces and nephews take what they would like to remmember us is to be sold and all of the money given to an animal shelter that does not believe in euthanasia. We have no children so the animals are our children.

Two or three bin liners and into the dustcart on collection day, like anything that's served its purpose I'll end up in the trash.

It won't matter. It's an empty shell at that point.

I love the smell of pine!

I have given this great thought.

I would love to go dressed to the hilt; however, I finally decided that I will go wrapped in linen, in a pine box. Once the top is nailed, light the fire.

    What a morbid conversation........

I don't expect to attend my funeral (but then I may just drop by to hear what they are saying). Whomever I leave behind can do whatever makes them feel better about my leaving.

It is just weird to think about

I'll admit it it is a weird and morbid thread but when you think about it, (it must be a mid life thing I have going on) Here we are trying to spend as much time dressed as we can and what about eternity? I think Kirsti has it right though.

Has anybody seen my matches? LOL
