    Wink Second Life

    Hi all,

Like most of you I started to wear clothing of my mom and sisters when I was still a boy. Most of the time it was wearing underwear and quickly undressed.. that was it. I had not been crossdressing for over a year and thought I had it "under control". But I started again, but this time more active then ever.
What triggered me... Second Life (SL), the virtal world. Maybe "we" should call it Third Life

What did I do: in stead of getting a male atavar I chose a female. That was the trigger in real life to start dressing up again. This time, with internet and a forum like these, I am more and seriously into it then ever. Next week I plan to go to a make up lesson and go out en femme.

    Questions:
Any one on SL ...as male or female

I'd rather just call it MY life, both of them, which ever gender I'm dressed as at the time....

Nah, nothing is really stored on your computer. All the things you buy and build in SL stay on SL's servers.

You do need a fairly powerful computer to use it to its fullest extent. But I have SL running on a 933Mhz p3 512Ram PC with an old 64MB video card. It's not pretty but it does run.

I guess you could say it's a part of us, to want to dress. Tonight the wife said you sure are cranky, why don't you put on a skirt? And that's all it took to mellow me out. Of course my bad knee was hurting like 7734!!!BJ

    Yes I have two accounts

My building account and my fem account. My fem account I a am a dancer in a club I have made over $10,000L and spent much of it on clothes!
    Can only dance after 9pm.

I plan on getting land and selling stuff I made. The Fem account I explorer. Despite not liking men I do like flirting while dancing. Also men have giving me stuff including $1,000L once.

I have had many say my avatar is beautiful including the owner of the club before I started working there. I did work on it.

SL is the only way I get the female side of me out. I do not CD and my wife freaks out at the thought of me wanting to be a woman. She sees the learning and making money side of SL so is a bit tolerant of it. I try to only do the fem avatar when she is asleep.

Colleges are making a presence in SL and I am going to submit a proposal to the college I work. Including teaching a SL class in our virtual campus. Hopefully I will get paid to "play" in SL soon!

I am a programmer and an artist so I have made some nice stuff including a working clocks.

PS there are a number of threads on SL so look at those.

    Second life

It seems Second Life comes up a lot.

Maybe we need a permanent discussion section on it.

There is lots to talk about, building, making clothes, hair, getting a job etc.
It is related to CD because for some of us it is the only CDing we can do.

I used to play The Matrix Online as a female avatar -- but I was more into developing her character than trying to be her... but to a certain extent, it was great to have people in a virtual world see me for the sex I think I should be. xx

I looked at it, thought about....and left it there. It just seems too much like Warcraft, where a person can get lost in it.

As a result of this thread I got myself a basic account, female avatar and took a look around. Got harassed a little by men in Orientation Island but once I found my way out of there had no further problems. Spent around four hours real time just wandering around, but with the massive sum of $L2 couldn't do a lot except explore. Must admit, I liked walking around as a female, could be a partial substitute for CD-ing for those who absolutely cannot do it in RL.

Right now there's obviously so much I need to learn, for example how to make some $L and it would be so easy to stay in there for hours on end...for me at least.

    No more harrassement

SL is somtimes a bit rough. The guys bump into you to have a "better look"
There are some places like Lesbos and Mysteria. These places are "female" only.

To react to the previous post: adding voice will be "killing"

I just don't get the idea behind things like second life, warcraft etc.

Sure, I used to mud occasionally but never paid for it. I hear you have to pay to use Warcraft or Second Life. That puts me right off them (that and the fact real life keeps me too busy to veg online).

You do have to pay a monthly fee for WOW.

SecondLife is free to play but if you want to own property you have to pay a monthly fee based on how much land you own.

That can make your voice female. Also not everyone has a microphone. If you are on the computer you can not always be chanting on a microphone. Very distracting for the family.

While these are valid reasons, I have seen the effect of this before back when I used to play "There".

I don't really want to turn this thread into a voice chat debate... But really I think Linden Labs should be wokring on fixing the bugs they have before using resources on adding new features. Look at how they rushed out this latest viewer. This was called the "First Look" viewer for the past couple months. Now they have pushed out what amounts to a beta client and are focusing on adding voice chat.

Apparantly you have to be a member for at least a month before anyone will hire you. I'm not sure how long I've been there and, of course, I am a woman and I do like men. I have been meeting men and they have been teleporting me around so I haven't tried getting a job lately. One of my friends showed me a place where you can get a lot of clothes and stuff for free. There are some notice boards that explain how to do it. I can't remember the name of the place right but will post it when I go back tonight or tomorrow. Once he explained things he left me to shop and told me to get all prettied up for next time we meet. I have new hair, a gown, sexy lingerie, cute heels and some jewelry, oh and I changed my shape a little.

I think it would be a good idea to have a separate section for this.

But you have to be at least 2 weeks old to be hired. Also being in the adult industry you have to put in a credit card to verify age, no money is taken.
It was about 5 weeks till I was dancing. A few weeks of training and interviews.

I am not a women and do not like men but for some reason actually like the role playing. When I dance I am usually tipped better than the other girls, because I talk and flirt more. FYI I get just as much tips from female avatars as male. Lots of tips come from staff. I was told by a manager that I was picked to be "stripped" because I talk more. They tipped me until my clothes came off, which is $L400. The dancer with me was dancing longer and was clothed when I left.

I have made over 12,000L. The exchange rate is about $20 to $4000L. So I could pay my way if I did it every day. I have to watch out cannot have my kids or wife see me do this, She caught me a couple of times Asked me "Do you like being a sex object?" I did not answer!

    I am so hooked!!

OMG, Girls, I am so hooked on Second Life!

I didn't know it existed until I read this thread. I went off and signed up, created my character, and did the Orientation Island. Way Cool.

Check out my profile picture here to see more of what I look like in Second Life. If you run into me, make sure you say hello. PM me if you want my SL name.

    Hugs,

    Hi girls,

I am involved with second life and spend most of my time as a female. I dance and escort at a popular club in SL, and do pretty well.

I do use voice morphing software for the voice enabled SIM's to maintain my female image in game, and it works very well, no one has said a thing about it sounding wrong.

I know it kinda sounds wierd, but I feel like SL really gives CD's a chance to begin to experience life as a woman, and fully encourage anyone interested to give it a try.
