I'm always female playing anything, and often don't like to play at all if I'd have to be male. Got on SL too, only just beginning, under name of Taru Gynoid.

Wonder if we dance in the same club

I know it kinda sounds wierd, but I feel like SL really gives CD's a chance to begin to experience life as a woman, and fully encourage anyone interested to give it a try.

    Jen

It is not weird. I am 6'1" and cannot pass. So CDing does nothing for me. So SL is my gender confusion release. I do "feel like a women" when am dancing, almost too much, wish I had the right parts!

Was interested in escorting but do not do SL on a regular basses to make appointments.

But do not want ANYONE to suspect I am not a female.

    Tried Second life today

After reading this thread I went and signed up for Second life and tried
it. I found that I could not control the onscreen image very well. I no
longer have the eye-hand connection like I used to. I removed the program from my pc and try to find something else I can partake of.

It was interesting to try tho.

It is called lag. I just log off when it is bad.

SL does need a fast computer, DSL or cable and a real good video card.

The only online game I play is Warcraft and I can't make a female character. It feels dishonest. I'm a paradox. Go figure.

I couldn't make a male char in Warcraft, they're too male for my self image - maybe, maybe I could have made a pretty blood elf boy, but they went and made them more masculine as well

    Second Life

    Girls,

I'm not going to gush about Second Life. Really. I'm going to stay calm and just tell you ...

OMG, IT'S SO KEWL!! SO FUN!!

Sorry. I lost control there for a minute .

I absolutely agree that it's a splendid way to experience much of the thrill of being a female, particularly if you're stuck in the closet in the Real World. Yesterday, I shopped for clothes, tried them on, danced, flirted, kissed, fondled and got fondled. I'm expecting to "go all the way" the next time my favorite GF is on line.

    Hugs,
    Susie

I love SL myself! Still working my way around. Wish I had a faster computer though ... it would be a lot more fun.

I've just this minute returned from a looong and weird second life session.

I'm a bit befuddled and bewildered...about myself. I can't repeat most of it here, just to say that I ended up as a leather clad slave in some dungeon, strapped to a cross being whipped by some German hunk...and that is the least x-rated part of my little fantasy adventure.

    Talk about losing control...sheesh !

I made a blond bimbo avatar. You know biggest boobs as possible, as high as they will go. Then narrow waist, wide hips long blond flex hair ($180L).
Big eyes, (the lights are on and no one is home look).

One guy asked me to dance in the club where I work. Had to leave fast when my wife got up and came toward me!

I like this too much, wonder what is wrong with me!

    Voice morphing software

I have been unable to find any voice-changing software that runs on Mac OS. If any of you know of some, I'd love to hear about it.

There's a Transgender Resource Center in Second Life. I had a chat with a bunch of girls there a couple days ago, and we talked about the possibility of doing voice coaching, once the voice chat system has gone live. I don't think it's going to be very difficult to have a feminine voice on SL, with or without software. What's necessary is an opportunity to practice, practice, practice.

    Hugs,
    Susie

I'm having a ball in SL

...literally, dressed in my new ball gown a few days back. I thought I would bump this thread up to remind people that you can be/do anything in SL.

Here's how today went for me....

I hung out in my fave club, dressed in my leather pants and skimpy top. Earned a few $ dancin. Went shopping in a mall to spend my $, bought some jewellry, new clothes, hairstyles. A male friend IM'ed me so I teleported over to him. He had found a cool place to hang out by the beach. We swapped some chat and a large colorful frog came to join in, he said "ribbet" and changed into a hermit crab.

In the meantime my male friend transmuted into a beautiful girl in a sparkley dress with waving blue hair, the crab proceeded to claw at her until told to keep his claws to himself. I complimented my friend on her dress and so she gave me a copy to try on later.

For those who tried SL and weren't impressed at first...you need to explore, there's a lot of wonderful stuff that isn't too obvious. For a while, with a bit of imagination, you can be who or what you want...even a frog.

There is a FREE on-line game call "Martial Heros". You can make either a male or female character in various skills. Does not require a fast computer or super video card. I play it on my Pentium 4 2.2GHZ laptop.

    Paper dolls for grown ups

Second Life is the 21st century equivalent of paper dolls, for grown ups!

A computer environment that allows you to create a character, dress in her favorite clothes, dance, flirt, have sex, and even experience Lilith's most amazing dungeon adventure -- uses visual and aural stimulations to help you imagine the world differently.

I remember my sister and her friends playing with paper dolls when I was a kid. I always thought it seem strange that they got so "into" it -- after all, it's only paper. They spoke the lines of their dolls, dressed and undressed them, had dances, all that stuff. For them, it was real enough to enjoy. Of course, Second Life is really only pixels.

I believe this is called "immersion" -- the ability of the player to transport herself "into" the environment. Just as when we experience a gripping movie, or someone telling a really compelling personal story, the visual and aural experience of Second Life allows us to let go of RL (Real Life) for a while.

This is a forum about cross-dressing, so let me relate SL back to that, before I rave too much . My SL persona has perhaps a couple dozen outfits, including a most skimpy bikini, a babydoll nightgown, several full-length ball dresses. I get a high degree of immersion in SL, so, for example, dressing up in a beautiful copper-colored chiffon gown, and go dancing with my GFs is a most amazing feeling.

Being fully closeted in RL, I'll never get to experience this anywhere else. Besides, when you dance your tush off in SL, you don't get tired !

Lilith, I'm continuing to look for you in SL -- see you there.

    Hugs,
    Susie

Exactly ! When I'm in there I am my avatar even though I know that in reality the whole thing is really a simulation, a game...like paper dolls. I believe that some people don't "get" this immersion and would consider us completely crazy but, as you say, it is no more crazy than being "inside" a book or good film.

    By the way, not dungeon.....dungeons

Hope to see you "in-world" Susie

It is the only time I "feel like a women" strange as it may seem.

I do get frustrated that I do not really have the correct parts, when I am back to reality! Oh well, need to see a physiologist one of these days!
