I'm a soon to be single father. (The divorce had nothing to do with CD.) Our 14 year old daughter lives full time with me.

comes a MOTHERS DAY CARD! From my mom.
The small note she hand wrote on the inside says "You're part mom too!"

I have a feeling that all moms know everything about their kids.

They have seen them grow up, so the slightest change may be noticable.

I am also of the feeling that married couples often share the mom and dad roles, they are not two distinct areas, they overlap, so many dads are part moms and again many moms are part dads. It becomes more obvious when there is a split, and the single parent becomes both.

Hey my mum use to ask me when i was young "WHY DO YOU LIKE LOOKING AT THE MIRROR ALL THE TIME?" what would i say then, nothin i guess, and sometimes when i wear make-up she just give me a 'different look' one time i tie the end of the front-buttons of ma shirt to give a certain ****ty look that was when she asked me to remove the nut and added that i should behave maself.
