Loved the video, I am English but have been living in New York for the last 9 years so don't get to see the UK talent shows, I must say that I think they are much better than the US versions. Did anyone see this guy?

My thoughts go out to the other members of the group they must be devastated. I had hoped that this would raise our profile but it now looks like it will do the opposite.
Nikki.
thats so sad i feel sorry for the girls who work so hard and were not hookers
quote kieron := Well thats set any public perception of us back 10years thanks a bunch girls!!!
hmmm guess i can add hooker to my resume  ..... and i was so looking forward to watching them

Personally I feel it was the talent scouts fault.......they should have vetted the girls auditioning much better than they did.......but as i said, The TG community over here (cant speak for other countries) alot of the time get tarred with the brush of perverts/sex fiends anyway, this just give joe/joe public the impression we are all like that, when we are all thriving for acceptance......those three girls arent helping our cause by appearing in the national media, that said my personal view on sex workers of any variation is of a different opinion but thats another story for another day
what a bummer - pity they couldn't have been a little more discreet with their big moment coming up - and I thought they were such nice girls - the sort I could take home to mother ...

Coming from a marketing background and having worked on some v high profile events and with high profile people here in the UK, I can confidently say that the British tabloid press could find "an angle" on most people if they tried hard enough and they really do! The scouts shouldn't be blamed for this, they're not the bloodhounds that these journos are - the three girls in question played what they thought was a really clever game even knowing what our media is like, got a bit too confident and lost.
They should be ashamed of conning all the people they did along the way - their fellow band members and the group of people that put them together.
Not everyone in the UK tabloid press becomes a celebrity out of notoriety, contrary to common belief .... bad call, girls.
That's too bad. Especially for the others in the band. And poor Simon.

Sometimes I make sense and that frightens me.
Please don't let me be the last post on this thread
OK now i'm oficially gutted. I though this would be really good for us but that has really hurt. it does make me wonder though. Are they the only one's on the show with a secret past?
is anone going to dig so deep on the other contestants?
Sophie
They did, they found a known sex offender
http://www.postchronicle.com/news/en...21286989.shtml
So some of them were hookers for their day (night) job?
So what?
Really! Sex workers are human beings aren't they? Is that profession illegal over there? If so they comitted a crime that was unrelated to their activity on the show. If not then it's no different then if they were fashion models or lawyers!
Frankly either way their human rights have been violated because they have been discriminated against. Either for legal behaviour or because they allegedly comitted a crime that they have not yet been convicted for!
Sure its bad for the rest of us all to be assumed to be 'perverts' and 'sex workers' because of a stereotype... considering that more than 60 percent of female uni students in Australia sell sex at least once while persuing their studies....
It's disgraceful! I am absolutely disgusted. Sex workers are human beings and deserve as much support and respect as any other human being.
the kit kat girls were entraining us with song and dance for that moment in time the public loved them and i for one was looking forward to seeing them go far in the competition and it could have help each and everyone of us in the public eye ...
the problem was someone outed a few girls in the band for selling sex ....
as i understand it one of the girls did this to save up money for her surgery
if i had the balls to do that i would too .. i cant it's not me
did anyone consider that if they won this it could be there way out of the sex trade !!!!
i am sorry but what they / we do in our private lives is no one else business it is like any of us going on the show and someone outing us to the world that we cross dress ... what has that got to do with the price of tea in china

As Kieron said, a man was found to be a sex offender (allegedly - I don't know and don't want to be sued!). But sensationalising a story like that here in the UK at the moment is taboo in the press because of the little girl snatched in Portugal and the child porn bust yesterday (which the press would have had wind of, I'm sure).
If the band had been all GG's and 3 had been on the game, they'd have got the same treatment by the British press and it would possibly have gone on for much longer - a group of CD girls isn't actually as broadly newsworthy as you think - sex sells, but heterosexual & visually boy/girl sex sells better, over here at least (if that last bit makes sense). I have a client who, years ago, had an ex girlfriend sell her story - and he's not a big name at all, but its gossip all the same.
And you have to remember this is a prime time family show - so the scouts were being very inclusive by thinking it was absolutely fine for the band to appear. You all know that wouldn't have happened not that long ago.
I'm not defending the press, I just know how it works and those girls tried to beat it. One final word - don't try to beat the press over here - you'll get burned!!!
Clearly it was foolish to offer to the reporter.. did she know they were a reporter though? And the price... forgive me if I'm naiive on the subject but that seems a litlle high to me.. could she have been joking at the time?
I wonder if they could sue the show?
I particularly wonder if the rest of the group could sue the show?
whether she was joking or not she still said it in a media driven environment, im under the impression she didnt know he was a reporter
They wouldnt have a leg to stand on, its a show made to find a top talent act to entertain The QueenI wonder if they could sue the show?

The Queen's involvement doesn't change international law. If they were kicked out in a way that breaches their rights then they should have legal recourse through the EU or UN even if not British law. I expect there were 'good behaviour' clauses in their contracts but if those clauses breached their rights then they probably count for naught.y wouldnt have a leg to stand on, its a show made to find a top talent act to entertain The Queen
