Personally, when I was younger (and by younger I mean up till a few months ago), I liked to try on the occasional piece of the girlfriend's clothing while she wasn't around ... and (sorry if I'm grossing anyone out) this always lead to watching some porn then taking the item(s) back off. I would never just hang around or sleep in girls' clothes.

These days I have a lot of clothes and I like to go to CD-friendly clubs on the weekend, but I never just lounge around in girls' clothes. I consider myself very fortunate to live in an area with a few clubs that I feel comfortable at. I never actually go to normal public places, though. I was just wondering how many of you go out and what your feelings are on the issue.

If you stay at home, I would be very interested in reading if this is primarily because the wife doesn't really approve, if you're too uncomfortable to go out, if there are no CD-friendly clubs in your area, or if you just have no interest.

    Thanks!
Right now I'd have to choose "A", but my hope is to be able to choose "C" by the new year. I need to perfect "the look" before going to the local clubs. This probably differs from most of the girls here, but I'm not that interested in going out and blending (going un-noticed) in the general public. My relaxation comes from the interaction with those who admire us at the T-bars.

As I like fetish attire, petticoats, etc, I prefer to stay home and dress. Also I have no interest in passing anyway. But I do like to wear make up and wigs when dressing.

My everyday clothes are from the women's department so I'm definitely not a stay-at-home dresser.

First of all, I am a Crossdresser, not a Tranny (or properly, a Transsexual. A Tranny is a person who is one sex, but wants to be/considers themselves to be the other sex. You can be a Crossdresser without being a Tranny!

As a Crossdresser, I do go out in public dressed as a female quite often! But unlike a lot of the girls, I go as a man in feminine clothes. No wig and usually only lipstick for makeup. I go shopping and eating out that way. Been doing that for over two years. When my wife was alive we used to out frequently as two girls, but she fixed my wig and did my makeup.

Of course, I also crossdress at home. I feel more comfortable wearing a nice skirt, or skort, and a top while doing stuff at home. I wear panties almost all the time anyway. And yes, I do wear panties to the doctor's office. they have seen my bright red toe nails and my pink finger nails, so they might as well see my panties if they look at that part of me.

I occasionally go out but only limited dressing. When I do I usually only wear a sweater, slacks, nylons and shoes and normally with my wife. I wear a bra but no fillings! I have enough to feel "good" but not enough to create a "look"! LOL
Today was the first time going out somewhat dressed without my wife and I wasn't too nervous. She has always been my security blanket.
Most of my dressing is at home.

    Hi Racquel,

I only get dressed at home but that suits me. I never really had any great desire to go out dressed although I did go to a crossdresser group thing a couple of times (got dressed on arrival and changed back before I left) which was quite good.

    Wink Stay at home?

I mostly stay at home and wish that I could go out... although my wife is supportive, I think that she would be less so if she thought that I was going to appear in public as a woman. Friends, neighbors, and all of that.

I have, however, gone out for a drive when the wife and kids are gone, and those experiences have been really great!

I would go out more, given the right circumstances.

I do not dare go out

I went out for a weekend once with my SO and had a blast. But I must have been out of it because upon seeing my pictures later and realizing how much like a guy in a dress I looked I was shocked. I still have not recovered. So I stay home.

I guess I have no fear of really being found out or made. I think my greatest fear is that of violence. It probably is irrational and one day I will beat it and go out again. In the meantime, I am working on losing weight and growing my hair longer, etc. My SO would love for me to go out with her again.

I stay at home. In years past I have gone out a few times to a local CD association. Afterward a group of us went out to some CD friendly places. I had a good time for the most part. I guess I got it out of my system. I don't pass well, so it isn't worth the risk to family and my job.

I never stay home when I dress. After all the work of shaving and putting on pantyhose I am not going to waste the effort by staying home. I do not get out very often but when I do I thoroughly enjoy it.
It takes a real man to wear a dress.

I stay at home also. My wife asked me not to so I respect that wish. I'm also a government employee.

Yup I fall into that category all dressed up and no place to go.

Perhaps one day if I get the courage.

    ...

I dress around the house only. However one of those times was at a Halloween party, so "in public" was "public in" as it where.

I only stay at home and dress. I really have no desire to go out dressed at this time, and my wife would fear for my safety if I did.

All of my regular clothes are women's clothing, but not conspicuously so.
I put myself in the fourth category. I do 'femme it up' on occasion with decent makeup and heels and maybe a skirt or cute pants in public, but not around our neighborhood.

I do not know if it is in the mind or not, but clothes are really for wearing and being worn they get out with me whenever I can. Country, town or city just about wherever in those places. In other words my clothes do not get disappointed, they do get out, not often enough though.

Love the way you framed the questions...I do lots of regular everyday stuff in women's clothes, a simple thing like going to the supermarket in slacks or a casual skirt and top is fun for me.

I live in a conservative town and while Seattle is about 45 mins away I don't have any hook-ups there, and right now so little time...

But at home it's not sexual, I'm always just comfy in womens clothing - last night was pink sweats and pink work out shirt while I did some martial arts training...and I always have and always will wear panties, albeit sporty gray/blue/lavender so I can go to the gym, but all the same....

Legs always shaved, rarely wear a bra b ecause they are uncomfortable and my boss is always putting his hand on my shoulder (Until I put a wrist lock on him last week) ..

So Yes, stay at home for me unless i meet and TRUST someone, then I would LOVE to get out!
