Glad to see that others appreciate the erotic illustrations of Bill Ward.
He became known as a cartoonist during and after WWII. His most famous cartoon work was the "Torchy" series.
He was very prolific....and his work ranged from luscious pinups to just about every imaginable erotic topic....including very famous (and sometimes very hard core) covers and illustrations for the Eros Goldstripe publications in the 1970's and 80's.
While his depictions of the female form could hardly be called "realistic"....I can testify that, in particular, teenage boys found them absolutely compelling. He could paint or draw a lady in a slinky bra and shimmering black nylons better than any human who ever lived.
Google will lead to all sorts of sites.
There are a lot of his illustrations on Carole Jean's Art of Petticoat Punishment Site...<www.petticoatpunishmentart.com>
