Always SATIN for me.
I just love a nice smooth taffeta like Barbizon "Tafredda" which I'm wearing now by the way, but satin is a very close second.

Satin for me too, bet this is the most popular answer, but why ?
Because it's versatile, it can have a wide variety of textures and thicknesses and most garments look gorgeous when made out of it. Yet it maintains a specific feel to it that is impossible to replicate.Originally Posted by Davinnia

Soft Cotton Interlock, the type of material that Fruit of the Loom Tee Shirts are made out of and of course the type of Knickers (Briefs) I like to wear. The other I like is the Cotton/Elastane mox that panties such as Sloggis are made out of.

I remember a poll done on this a while back, and the overwhelming answer was silk. I like satin, and I like silk as well. But for some reason, my very favorite material for clothing is acrylic knit. I just love soft, melt into 'em sweaters, and acrylic feels the best. As for non-sweater fabrics, I like a sheer polyester blend the best. It's comfortable and versatile, and can be very pretty. For dressing up, I'll take (in no particular order) organza, satin, silk, and taffeta.

My first choice would be, like so many others, satin. There is something about the feel that makes me feel good wearing it.
Chiffon hasn't been mentioned yet (I think) and I love the really feminine, light, floaty feel of it, too.
Anyone else love chiffon?
Taffetta... refresh me. I forget what it looks and feels like.

Satin in "friction" with another fabric of similar surface qualities .
That,s what i like also.Often i wear 2 pair of panties so they slide on each other.Also why i always wear a slip so it will slide on the panty-hose under the skirt or dress.I find that feeling very sexy and femme

Taffeta is silk that is woven thick like cotton, and that's what it feels like, slick and slidy, but hefty. It has been in use as far back as the Renaissance. Nowadays there are versions that are out of synthetics. Many a prom gown has been made out it.
