I did get my foot stamped on by a hefty guy with blond shoulder length hair while dancing. It was a wild drunken party sometime in the 1980's at Stirling University in Scotland and, although I felt a stab of pain, I carried on dancing. Next morning I had a foot the size of a football as well as a hangover and hobbled about the campus in agony for a few days before checking into casualty. Sure enough..the X-ray revealed fractured metatarsals. Took months to heal and still hurts occasionally.
