If you could give ONE advice to another TS/TV/CD/TG...

If you had to hand over the baton and give one single advice or recommendation to a fellow CD/TV/TS/TV about your experience, what would it be? It could be clothing, makeup, lifestyle, ANYTHING... but just ONE please. This question goes to anyone, from TS to significant others. Thank you.

Just always be yourself and don't try to be someone you are not. This has always worked out best for me.

Know that it doesn't matter what others think. Just love who you are.

I would have to agree with Sal as for my best answer as well, I think Sal couldn't have said it any better.

If anyone ever tries to shame you it will never work unless you accept being shamed. If you just come back with a "whatever I like it" attitude they can't do anything about it! I put that to action a few times lately.

A friend of mine says it is better to be hated for someone you are than to be loved for someone you aren't. My wife thinks that people should be themselves and be honest. That way your soulmate can find you. Accept yourself and surround yourself with people who love you for who you are.

Yes, yes, be yourself. Don't hide who you are. That's how we get in trouble when marrying, etc. Think about it. If you are yourself, your friends are real friends, your dates are real dates. Better to be yourself than live a lie and be shunned later on.

Enjoy the experience, remember, there is nothing wrong with crossdressing, there is nothing wrong with being a crossdresser. You have nothing to be ashamed of.

At the end of the day, nothing really matters because we'll all end up dead anyway. Or something like that

As you work toward your femme goal, don't fret. Perhaps the step you take won't happen today. No, not today, but someday the day will come for that next step. In the meantime, be happy with what you have.

I just love what everyone has posted......awesome thread!

Since you said SO's can add to the thread my advice is for going out for the first time.Being confident is the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. Your perception of yourself has an enormous impact on how others perceive you. Perception is reality — so if you have to be an actress the first few times...fake it to make it. No looking around nervously or head down ....those actions only invite looks.Beware of your surroundings, Dress to impress, not to seduce. If you're going out with others, you can wear more risque outfits than if going alone. And act confident.
