ok, I admit, I read the first few pages and skipped a bunch of them. I'm sorry, 12 is alot! I will get back to them, though, I promise. I still bet I'm the only locomotive engineer here. Possibley the very worst place in the world to transition, but it's going to happen, whether they like it or not.
Hugs,
Melissa
I think there were a few loco engineers in the fray.
That sounds like a cool job.

Mellisa, your'e definitely not the only locomotive engineer her. I'v worked for a Class 1 carrier for thirty years.

Now, medical billing.
The discovery channel seems to be quite smitten with my world. However now, things have changed and i am trying to work ashore repairing medical equipment.Still do boats, but trying to transition. It is a lot easier to look good when your face doesn't have burns from overhead welding or cutting and a manicure goes quicker when the tech doesn't have to dig out from under your nails and tell you to really wash! Anyway,as a medical repair tech, i hope to stay clean, dress as feminine as i dare,be well rested, and find some more Rogina time.I just enjoy being out and about everywhere i want to go.
I've had four careers in my life:
1. Soldier
2. Computer Programmer
3. Computer Engineer for a major telecommunications company, now defunct.
4. Educator/Research Scientist.
Number 4 is by far the best. Think I'll keep it.
Lotsa Hugs,

This is so interesting - particularly striking is the number of us that are employed in traditionally 'male' occupations like building trades, law enforcement, transportation, etc.
As for myself, if anyone really wants to know what I do, PM me, I'm feeling a bit paranoid about leaving it here for all to see
