By all means get your pics in the smokies, I have been in the smoky mountain forests, they are beautiful, I would love to have my pics taken in the smokies. I find it quite wonderful that your mother wants to do that for you, you better do that while you can, because if you dont you will have regrets later in life after she is gone. You have a cool mother.

As a kid I used to got down to the Smokies every year. Still love the area.

Go for it! I have just been going through a lot of old pictures, and found some of myself dressed from back in the mid seventies, wish I still looked like that, and I love having those pictures.
Never miss a good photo op! Or a good time with your mom, these are memories for a life tme.

Where are you going in the smokies? If going to Cades Cove, there are plenty of good back drops there, cabins, barns, and the mountains. and above all have fun. Oh and watch out for the bears.
