    If you could pass

What would you do? Would you go out and talk to your friends, co-workers, go out in public, etc? By "passing", I mean that you look nothing like your male self, you look like a GG and your voice sounds like a GG and even your SO (if you have one, or your best friend) couldn't recognize you.

I'd go out to a clothing store, ask for help first in a femme voice, and when something didn't fit and I would say in the lowest voice possible "This doesn't fit, do you have one in another size?" and see what kind of reaction I could get.

I am with you Lana. It would be interesting to see people's reactions when they find out. I would love to just go everywhere and interface with others with nosecond thoughts. I do that now when I feel secure that I will not run into someone who knows me. Do you get out much?

Oh no, I don't go out at all. I just wear women's clothing and lingerie, that's all.

    Out in a shot

If I could be sure that no one would recognize me (there is a thread somewhere here about shape-shifting) I would spend most of my leisure time out and about - shopping, restaurants, clubs, bars ... Maybe my wife would be willing to come with her new friend.

I know I can pass as a woman and I certainly don't look anything like my "male!" self, but it would be nice to have a feminine voice. If I try and adopt one it just ends up sounding rediculous so I try to keep talking down to a minimum (not easy!) if I'm not in a CD friendly pub or club.

Actually did something like that back in the summer.
I filled in for a guitar player in an all girl metal band The singer knew all about me and she asked if I would do it I said are you kidding sure.
Didn't get read all night, a pro did my makeup and I had more makeup on than I usually wear so I guess it covered better.
Used my girl voice all night talking to people, of course I didn't know anybody so that helped.
Got hit on at the bar by a guy in his 20's boy was he feeding me a line of B.S.I laughed and told him thanks but no thanks. Then the drummer came over and said "hey bud you hittin'on my girl?"Then he must have thought Oh crap these chicks are lesbians.
It is pretty cool when you're in a different city more freedom to be your femme self.
Getting the voice down isn't to hard really just work on it you'll figure out your range.Try to use the top of your voice box not the bottom where your guy voice is.
There was a thread about this and a link posted that helped me find mine.

I would go out everywhere very feminine.
I would buy very sexy lingerie and sexy dresses and try on each one at the store asking for assistance.
I would try to go out on the town and see if I could get anyone’s interest (male or female).

A long time ago, in a galaxy pounds pounds away I was very passable. I drove a few hours away and went to the mall. I also went to a few college campus'to do my homework and walk around. It was a rush, but a little nerveracking at first. If I thought I could pass now I would do it in a heartbeat.

Hmmm, if I could pass.........I'd probably just go out and enjoy being able to be myself for a change, and wear what I feel I should be wearing. Maybe enjoy the admiring glances of men AND women if I were pretty enough. Kind of something I've never, ever experienced in my own life. I've always wondered what it would be like to be attractive, instead of being ignored by the world. I usually feel, well, invisible. I hear about women talk about catching guys looking at them; but I've NEVER caught a woman looking at me with admiration or desire in her eyes...ever. I think it might be kind of nice for a change.

There's an addendum at post # 82 on that thread, too. It's about a ten minute read.
Why don't we understand our desire to dress, behave and feel like a girl? Because from childhood, boys are told that the worst possible thing we can be, is a sissy. This feeling is so ingrained into our psyche, that we will suppress any thoughts that connect us to being or wanting to be feminine, even to the point of creating separate personalities to assign those female feelings into.

I'd go to exactually the same places that I go out enfemme now... Why SHOPPING!! Like what else is there?? Ohhh and out to eat and to the casinos...

Might not be as much fun as it is now since I love to see peoples reactions when I speak.. Or when they realize they just held the door for a guy.. Opppsssiieee.. Hahaha.

I guess for me passing has come to mean being accepted based on my outward presentation. If I happen to be wearing jeans and flats of heels and a skirt, I expect to be treated respectfully. I certainly don't fool many people visually and my voice confirms any doubts that I'm a guy in a dress. But as long as I'm treated like any other person I guess that I've stopped caring what someone else thinks and I have found that I think I'm being 'read' less often and I certainly am enjoying myself being out en femme a lot more!

If I could pass.. well ---- I would try two things. I won't say on what order though

    a) Dress in the cutest denim mini skirt, sweater, and heels I could find with the most fememine undies and garter belt anywhere. The bra would definately show off my two best assets

    b) Dress as a guy in a suit and tie and guy's underwear to see if any of the 'boy' can still be seen

It would be a deeply spiritual and psychological experience

    I have no idea!

I guess my imagination isn't very fertile!

I also can't imagine living life as a grasshopper, or an owl!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.

Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!

If I could pass? I would go anywhere and everywhere! Shopping, clubbing, eating out, exercising in the gym, to the pool, the beach, try on wedding gowns just for fun, flirt (in safe environments,) and jus enjoy being who I am!

The fun bit is when they've met you in girl mode, then you go back in boy (in my case butch biker, usually) mode - the reaction is usually total shock.

Absolutely. I certainly (at 6'3" and 200lbs) don't pass, but I've done plenty of the things already mentioned above as fantasies?

It won't happen all at once, but you can get to a place where, as mary says, it's just ordinary?
