"Straight" to the point..

Hi!

Having had a good read through a lot of the recent threads here, after joining last week, i got a little curious as to how many of us MtF CDers identify with being "Straight"..

I've been crossdressing since i was a kid, and have been dressing on and off in public now for a good few years, and I describe myself as "Gay".

I know a few cross dressers in Torquay where I live and they are all gay or bi, but it surprised me that the majority of MtF CDers on this site seem to identify as Straight, quite often married etc.. I'm just curious really!!

I have heard several studies that claim that the majority of CD's are straight and that is probably true as far as it goes. Most uninformed people believe CD's are either gay (desiring men) or Transgendered wanting to be a woman but as this forum has shown most of us don't want to transition.

So that being said, I consider myself bi-sexual which muddies the water even more.

I'm a strait man, happily married. My wife thinks I'm handsome as a man, and can't keep her hands off me when I'm dressed as a woman.

I love women so much (perhaps too much) that I need to do more than just look at them - I like to see myself as one, dress like one, feel what it's like to be made up as one, etc.

I'm not even a smidgen gay or bi. If I woke up tomorrow morning as a real girl, I'd be a lipstick lesbian!

In terms of why are some crossdressers strait, some bi, and some gay? I think if you replace "crossdressers" with "people" in my last sentence, it spells out my personal theory on it. What does it matter that we like to dress and look like women? There are all kind of people in this world. Why would the crossdressing community be any less diverse than a community of people who happen to like peanut butter?

I chose "Straight" simply because you did not have Heterosexual as an option. I can't imagine any of us on this site identifying ourselves as "straight" since we are either Crossdressers or TS's (With the exception of the GG's present of course).

I am heterosexual, happily married to a wonderful GG (GlitterGG on this site), BUT, I am a crossdresser, which does not fit into the text book definition of either straight or heterosexual.

Too close to call. On the one hand, given that I'm still in the ever-thinning segment of my age group that has yet to have sex at all, so it's almost impossible to say which I prefer.
On the other hand, women—be it porn, seeing a hot girl on the street, whatever—bring about arousal several orders of magnitude more often than men, especially when I'm in guy mode (which is a large majority of the time). And, all else being equal, I'd pick a girl over a guy any day. So, in that regard, I consider myself "straight."
On the other other hand—and this possibly due to the "never had sex" thing—I've been increasingly curious lately what it would be like to be with a man while dressed. I can't see myself getting into a relationship with another man, but, if the conditions were right, I might be interested in a one-time hookup.

So, all, told, I'd say I'm "straight, with bi-curious tendencies." Let's see here... darn, not in the poll. "Straight" it is then.
