How Did You Come Up With Your Cd Name?

My first choice for a name was actually Mary Katherine after my sweet deceased grandmother. However, I figured if I ever did come out that my father probably wouldn't like me naming myself after his mother. LOL

My second choice was Melissa after a coworker that I used to talk to alot. After I started writing poetry about what was going on inside of me, I started using the name Taylor Alexis Brown. It just seemed to fit and I have stuck with it ever since.

Porn name, hmm, I don't think that my porn name would be any good. My pet was male, however I'll share it and a variation of my cd name.

Jock Dakota - pet name + street name
Jock Edwards - pet name + mother's maiden name
Taylor Dakota - cd name + street name
Taylor Edwards - cd name + mother's maiden name

Mine is a reference to the village I grew up in until the age of 11... Kimberley.

Loads of cool memories of that place, and some not so cool ones.

It was there that I told anyone that would listen that I wanted to be a girl. heh. Times have changed though... and puberty hit me.

I choose Gemma, as I did'nt like the other names that sounded like my boy name, and G is the 1st letter of my boy name, I have a cousin who's eldest name is Gemma and she has the same surname as me and it had a ring to it, I have a middle name too Dawn, the same as my lady's and it all fit's so nice, Gemma Dawn Bootes, my porn name would be Marmalade Ayre, my mum's old cat or Pepsi Ayre the 1st cat I had.

Deciding on a name for my feminine self was as difficult as naming our Son!

For years i never even needed a fem name as my crossdressing times were few and far between. However, when it came to the time where i thought it would be nice to have a name for my 'girl', the name Laura popped into my head and i settled on that for the interim.

But back in 2001/02 when my wife was pregnant, we were considering names for the baby and she suggested Laura if was to be a girl! Arrggg! Since my wife did not know about my CD'ing, i couldn't have the same name as my child (we had a boy anyway).

Recently, when i asked my wife to do a makeup job on me for fun (she's an AVON rep), she said no way Christine! So at that point, i accepted that name - thank you dear! For these forums, i didn't want to use my real name (its an uncommon one and would be quickly recognised by people who know me), so while wondering what name to use, i heard a TV news reporter say her name, so i thought that would do - so that's where the Johnstone comes from!

Anyway, i'm reasonably happy with my title - what do you think of it?
