Great song Davina but they don't play it much anymore! I love the song To Sir with Love!
I feel like a woman
Lola
Walk on the wild side
I'm so pretty
Hi, I'm Steffi and I'm a crossdresser... And I accept and celebrate both sides of me. Or, maybe I'm gender fluid.
Steffi, Hold on, you cannot attempt to corner the market on girly songs. I have to say I do like your picks.
Crissy
while it's not on my music player, how about "I feel pretty" from West Side Story?
I am with Steffi, I feel like a woman, Lola, Walk on the wild side
Girl pop to sing loud to: Circus by britney spears (or any britney spears really...)
Girl fantasies: When I grow up by the pussycat dolls
Accepting my femininity: Born this way by lady gaga
What do you mean by “girly” song?
My favorite girly song is Natasha Bedingfield. Pocket Full of Sunshine. The words are how I feel when I am Natasha.
Thanks to all you ladies that responded..
Micki, Bobby Sock to Stockings was a favor of mine when I first started this.... and has always been my favorite...
Kay, I hear all the time on XM radio fifties...
Daina
I would say
I?m just a girl by No Doubt
Born this way by Lady Gaga
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper X x x
Songs are songs to me. I certainly don't change to liking other music just because I am wearing some fabric that's been cut in a different way, or because I've got some makeup on.
Call me a killjoy, but I just don't have that split personality. I like what I like as a man and woman.
Oops sorry Daina i listen to more of the sixtys i will go down one channel more often!
When I was little my mother thought I had a good singing voice. She encouraged me to listen to To the Doris Day song "Que Sera Sera" that was popular at the time, and to sing along with it. I had learned the whole thing before I realized it was a "woman's" song.
Lately I've been listening to you tube performance of Alberta Hunter singing "My Man (is such a Handy Man)" pretty unlikely you would hear a man sing that, unless it was at a Drag show.
Wait. did I just age myself?
I think I aged myself....
ya
I did.
I am a vessel of the goddess. Let me express my calling to a feminine life through nurturing love and relatedness.
Sweet little sixteen by Chuck Berry. I love the line, "Tight dresses and lipstick"
Kiss me, by Sixpence none the richer.
The line - you will wear those shoes and I will wear that dress - is so evocative!
I enjoy being a Girl !

Lots of good tunes here. I have a pair of playlists labeled "Good Girls" and "Bad Girls" featuring female artists. The first two tracks in "Bad Girls" always make me giggle: "I Know What Boys Like" by the Waitresses and "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne.

As Robigirl said, "I enjoy being a girl."
My favorite also. When I sit down at a piano, with no particular tune in mind, I often just start playing "I Feel Pretty". It's a simple tune, and easy to play as a warm-up and it makes me smile. I've done it since I was a teenager. No one else knows that I'm wishing it were true as the words go through my mind.
I'm with you on this one. Just because I'm wearing heels, makeup, and a bra. Dosn't mean I'm going to listen to different music.
It would be like me owning two different cars. Because my main car is what typically is considered a man's car. Its loud, fast, turboed, and a stick. So In girl mode. I should be driving what? Some thing quite, naturally aspirated, slow, automatic, with a drop top. I still drive my sports car in girl mode.
