What do you think will be hardest on YOU after covid-19, and you can no longer dress and use makeup or go out as often as you might be doing now, pretty ladies?

Interesting thought since some here are probably NOT able to dress much if they are home with kids or unapproving SOs... I basically live alone 75% of the time anyway so Covid hasn’t changed anything for me in this department thankfully.
But I definitely feel for those that are working from home now and ARE enjoying this time to dress as they please... but I can’t wait for the world to get back to normal...

Jenny,
Yep, there will be some who are going to find themselves back in the old normal returning to the workplace. However for many desk based workers the new normal has shown that they can do as much if not more work from home. Companies have also realised that it costs a lot of cash to rent or operate office accommodation and by either significantly downsizing the office space or doing away with it altogether they can make significant cost savings.
So I think for some the future will be rosy one but yes there will be those for whom things will sadly come to an abrupt end.
Who dares wears Get in, get out without being noticed
I have some really nice clothes and shoes to wear to the office when it is time to return.

It seems most people are having the exact opposite problem. Covid restrictions have meant they have even less time to dress, not more and with most social events canceled nobody is going out nearly as much as they did before.
But for people like me who are out, it's only going to get better as I will finally be able to go out dancing again.

Well, hopefully Covid being gone will mean the nearby CD friendly places will be opening back up, a lot of them are dragging their feet. haven't been able to go out cause there's no place I feel safe going out to. PLus my work has put a hold on all raises and such until after Covid so that's been hurting my wardrobe a bit.
It will be easier as I will be able to use make up without it coming off on a mask!
I am an "essential" worker(nurse)and I see little changing! I know how essential a simple mask is and it is a lesser evil but I will be glad to not have to wear it almost 12-14 hours in a day! Oh, and I will be able to give and get HUGS!

I’m on the opposite end. I can’t wait for this to be over so I can start attending and performing in Drag shows again.
Covid shut my dressing down to near zero. I have not been to a club dressed since I was in Vegas around Feb 1. I can not dress at home except for very brief periods of partial dressing. So far I consider myself lucky as I am still employed and it has not affected anyone close to me yet. I look forward to the day it is all behind us.

Being in a DADT marriage there has been zero opportunity to be en femme. As a retiree with a wife who is also retired the only time I had to be totally free was when she babysat overnight for my daughter. Then I had the day to take an evening drive and stroll. With COVID we do not want to take any chances with getting infected. Frankly, it looks like it will be a long haul before any normalcy. Since my wife and I sleep apart for medical reasons at least I am able to sleep in a nylon gown and panty.
Jenny,
First I agree with Lana , seeing the makeup wasted when I take the mask off , maybe I should be wearing the budget range stuff for the time being .
Otherwise I'm in the other camp , when the pandemic is finally behind us I can't wait to socialise again and meet up with my painting group and travel freely once more . Buying new clothes at the moment feels like a waste with no where to go and wear it .
Lydianne,
Dare we mention " BREXIT " , I'll also be glad to see that one behind us !
What if the way things are now is the "New Normal"

Good question, Jenny. For me it hasn't had much impact as my life style did not include much of going places. I still go to the same places - grocery store, Home Depot, Office Depot, etc. I rarely go out to eat as I prefer home cooked meals. And if I do go somewhere else it is usually to the mountains (Rockies) for a hike or to sit beside a mountain stream and meditate or just think about the Universe and its state of being and looney stuff like that. But I know others who are much more socially oriented are saying they are going a little "crazy." As for impact on my dressing, actually I now do it more than before but it is still a mix and match affair common with non-binaries that don't have a well defined gender identity.
Nothing will change for me.
I'll still dress daily and probably go out more since I have actually decreased my outings due to this virus.
I don't wear women's clothes, I wear MY clothes !
Who is going out more now than before or will after covid, Jenny? I can't think of anyone!
U can't keep doing the same things over and over and expect to enjoy life to the max. When u try new things, even if they r out of your comfort zone, u may experience new excitement and growth that u never expected.
Challenge yourself and pursue your passions! When your life clock runs out, you'll have few or NO REGRETS!
Its likely to be the inverse for me. While I do have complete freedom to present as I wish at home, I have chosen to live openly as a woman in this community. If there is an after effect of lengthy social distancing, it is perhaps for me a greater resolve to live life in a manner more true to myself.
