U must be in a happy place, to accomplish what u have!

Oh the wonderful feeling of stepping into the skirt and pulling it up to try "The BIG Test" ... ever so carefully you pull on the zipper and don't feel any resistance, slowly you continue sliding it to the top, and .... OMG it went all the way!!!!

Then to just stand in front of the mirror to admire your new figure. Heaven.

Super good for you dear.

Congrats, Marla. I too have been trying to go down a size or two, but it has been slow going. There is so much more cute stuff to choose from in smaller sizes, so that's my motivation to stick with it.

I couldn't even fit a size 10 when I was at 155 lbs.

Very happy for you, Marla, and at the same time envious. All I've ever been able to manage is a size 12.

Marla -- Congratulations. Doing what you did is one of the hardest things on earth to do. Now the trick is to keep it off (which I am sure you will do).

Marla, Congratulations on a job well done! I just started a new diet and know staying on a program to lose weight is not a lot fun, but the results can be worth all the hardships required to lose the pounds. I have been overweight so long I am not even sure just how small I can get down to anymore. But if I could reach a size 12 I would be thrilled.
Beenherelongtime, 20 lbs is great, keep up the good work, I will be looking for more reports on how it goes for you, and wishing you well!
I can't wait until I start to drop a size or two, I have a bunch of clothes i can't wait to get back into, and would love to pack away some of this clothes I am now wearing, and you two have given me a lot of encouragement that If others can do it, then I should be able to do it too.

It's the whiskey and cigarettes diet. You'll love it! :D :drink:

Seriously...uh...I don't smoke. But I eat some oatmeal in the morning, and snack on granola bars during the day. I often (usually!) have no time for lunch, except for what I can grab between calls. If I do eat during the day, I keep it light. In the evenings, I eat either a good meal, or keep it light with whatever I can dig up that's good for me.

I'm active enough to burn some calories during the day, and I cut out the potato chips and Doritos (mostly!).

But hey, this is a modern size 10, not a vintage. That'll never happen. I'm just glad I don't feel as fat as I did a couple of months ago. Christmas season is hell on the ol' waistline! And I imagine I'll cheat a little....or a lot....

Ooohh! Cookies! :D

Way to go Marla! :yippee: Just keep it healthy. The flip side to those that have difficulties cutting their diet back to where they can lose weight are those that don't eat enough to get their nutrition.

That said, vintage size 10 is next!
