Ok, technically it wasn't my very first time out, I have wandered the block a couple of times, but that doesn't count!

I'd gotten all dressed up after dinner, and just decided that tonight was going to be the night! So I got in my car and drove to the local supermarket. It was a bit weird swiveling in and out of the car; I had my denim mini skirt on so had to be ladylike :o

I immediately went to the lingerie section, and decided I should pick myself out some new panties. I've done this a few times in guy mode, and I have to say I was far less nervous doing this while in girl mode, which came as a bit of a shock! So I got what I wanted (ended up with 3 pairs), paid for them and came home.

I have to say I loved the experience! The lights were obviously bright in the shop, so I couldn't really hide my face. But I found I didn't want to and just walked around as any normal person would do. Even made some eye contact with a few people, and no-one gave me any funny looks!

So either I did a reasonable job of passing, or no-one really cared. Either way, I'm very happy :D Hopefully there will be many more times to follow!

Oh, and here's a picture of how I looked:

you should try geting out of a 1980 corvette like mine. It also has pockit doors handles. The ones that if you have long painted nails like me it's hard to be lady like. Next time get up early like 8 or 9 am get ready and go out to the mall all day and shop till you drop. You'll love it. Your feet hurt your hands are red from all the shoping bags. You must use the ladys room at least once to pee and touch up your makeup. Then you'll have that shopping after glow we get. Oh Hun you'll love it. Huggs :canada:

..believe it or not, it was also my first time fully transformed.

It was in Seattle, 6 months ago. The GG love of my life, who has been my mentor, facilitator and who has empowered me and given me confidence arranged it all. Clothes, hair, makeup and shoes.

I remember walking out of the Hotel room and down the hall to the elevator. I was scared skinny. I was trembling. There were three other people in the elevator with us and I was too terrified to hold my head up and meet anyone's gaze.

We went downtown to a local restaurant and had wine. A woman and her husband were sitting at the next booth and she came over to us and said to my GG love, that we looked extremely happy together.

It was and will remain one of the most memorable moments in my life. I have since come to the realization that I am transgendered.

I know my experience is much different from most here, as it's been a super accelerated journey, but ever since then, I have been to dinner, dancing, bars, various malls, and every single time I transform, at some point in time, I go out into the world and live my life.

It's an amazing feeling.

Good for you girl! Congrats!
You're presentation looks good. I would assume that nobody seemed to pay much attention to you because you blended in very well.
Because you look pretty in that mini-skirt, watch out because the guys will be checking you out. :heehee:

Keep it up.

Hugs!

I know the feeling, Deborah, although I have not yet had the guts to actually purchase anything while en femme. But I think it's coming.....it's coming!

Debbie, you looked just fine. Quite frankly, you look more feminine than my female next door neighbour. No, actually there are eleven women (moms) in our cul-de-sac and you look either AS feminine or MORE feminine than FIVE of them. Oddly, one of the more attractvive women appears a little manly in some ways, but she's nice anyway.
I don't know about the USA but here in Britain, many of the women wear masculine clothes, boots, jeans and baggy coats, so it isn't that dificult to look quite feminine when out and about.

I'm off out on Saturday night, dressed up. I am tempted to indulge in a little shopping:daydreaming:

Once that first time out hurdle is crossed, the rest seem inconsequential. Now you'll want to go out EVERY night! To go shopping, to the grocery store, to dinner, out to the movies, where ever the night (or day) may take you! Way to go!

Hi Debbie,

I just love reading about other girls's first time out en femme (I shall never forget mine (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9796)). I think you look cute in your pic and I'm not surprised no one took much notice of you. Were they just too busy going about their business or did they think you were a GG? .... who knows. I get this thought a lot when I'm out as I too, like you, don't seem to get anything happen to me (yet).

Anyway, great stuff sister! Crossdressing is so great isn't it? ... I think everyone should be doing it! :)

Deborah, You look pretty passable, which is surely in your favor, but I have found that most people really are not observant of others in public. They all seem to be too wrapped up in themselves to care. The only ones that usually will say/do anything are the a-holes that are out to do just that. Anyhoo, Have fun and enjoy yourself, since that is what it is all about.

Congrats on your first outing! Now that you have tasted the pleasures of going out and about as Deborah, it will get easier and you will want to do more things to satisfy your feminine side! Thanx for sharing your adventure.
