This weekend I spent some time skiing and after dinner, some time in the hot tub talking with strangers more or less. That was all well and good and enjoyable but I kept thinking about what happens when, or if, I've developed the breasts I'm trying to, and actually fill an "A" cup or more??? How do others handle such situations? As a guy your topless as a girl your not. Perhaps its not a concern or I'm just being overly enthused and lookin' for excitement.

Topless for me is not an option. When I do go in the water, it's a one piece. I don't want to draw attention, however, the girls seem to catch the eye. I believe it's a good thing you consider what to wear before you develop sizeable breasts. Once you have breast, there won't be many choices. It's something to think about.

I think most TS people tend to avoid situations where they'll be mostly naked in public. My gym has individual showers with doors, but I still usually just come home and shower.

i own a ski boat and do a lot of lake camping, and i can tell you that my work at growing 36 A's has made a lake weekend quite interesting. i've been able to find a few nice womens sleveless neoprene watersuit top-vests that not only help minimize my chest but also look really great (one is yellow and black, the other red and black). I wear a pair of board shorts (longer swim trunks) to hid my shaven legs, and it kind of gives the butch lez look, but i'm okay with that.

All sports I do will be more "interesting" I'm sure! I have shaved my legs for years being a bicyclist.... (why do I ride bikes??? to shave my legs!) Riding in any of my tight jersey tops has been interesting too! I have just started using a sports bra under my jerseys when I get on the bike, it keeps things in control. Am I enjoying this or what!

After patches for a few months I'm just starting to show. In the summer I spend a lot of time on my boats. When alone I'm out of sight of land and can wear a bikini and get my perfect tan. But I also race with my crew, and other racers on often hot days. My 29-year-old girl crew are cool, but my normal tight polo shirts might raise eyebrows. There are some pretty square people.

Well, I have not been to the beach or out on the lake since the breasts have developed, I am now living full time as a woman in my personal life, not at work yet. I have a B cup and there is no way I would go without a top outside. I am not sure about a one piece or bikini, I would perfer to wear a bikini and shorts. We will have to see. Jen

I'm living full time in my personal life as well. The apartments we used to live in had a pool and I just wore a conservitive one peice and used tape to hold everything in it's place. I seriously doubt I fooled anyone, but I did chose times that I would not have to share with anyone. I love swimming and I would not give it up just because I am trans, and I'm sure as hell not going back to boy mode. eww.:puke:

I love swimming. I miss it so much. It is my biggest regrets about being trans. It is one of those things that remind me I can't have a normal life until I have srs. Has any one pre srs been able to pass in a bathing suit? I would love to know a way.

What do you mean by "pass in a bathing suit"? If you're worried about being pre-op and tucking, I really think that's the least of your problems when it comes to being read at the beach.

Do a search for "skirted tankini (http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1C1GGLS_enUS291US304&q=skirted+tankini&btnG=Search+Images)." Or if you actually wanna spend a lot of time in the water look at all the separates you can get with marginally baggy trunks and a top. Or get a one piece that comes with a skirt bottom or a sarong. Or look at swimdresses. Or get good at tucking.

Wal-Mart, Target, and just about anyplace that carries swimwear has outfits with a a bikini/tank/halter top and trunks/skirt/sarong bottom. If you're 30+ you shouldn't have any trouble blending in. A lot of MILFs still want to cover up their stretch marks and butt cellulite.

Something I saw on another forum that looked like pretty good advice:

Skirt suits seem to be pretty popular for transwomen. A couple things to remember about them, however is that they, like bikinis and one-piece suits, highlight your lack of curves and that they aren't particularly popular with anyone but my grandmother and transsexuals. Especially if you are stealth a skirt suit on a young person can paint a bright red "I'm a transsexual" on your back to anyone who knows anything about transsexuals.

I'm not saying that skirt-suits are wrong for everyone, I'm just saying that they have their drawbacks.

Probably the best bottom wear are women's swim trunks or "surfer shorts" over a bikini. The bikini holds your junk in check and prevents exposure when the trunks fall off while swimming while the trunks hide your stuff while on land and provide subtle cues that make your hips seem more womanly.

Of course, if you're totally non-passible you're really better off going in guy-in-a-T-shirt mode and maybe wrapping your boobs with something.

we all need to find ways to live with who we are.
I can not stay away from the water. With A cup I will need to use a little camofloge, and creative tops. But, I love fishing and snorkeling with the kids, and I still love having breasts. so far so good. speedo has some things that help.

Trever Zander - if you wear " few nice womens sleveless neoprene watersuit top-vests...", you have a ready "reason" for having shaven legs.

If anyone asks (and few people would), just tell them you have a full neoprene watersuit that you wear occasionally and it tries to pull the hair off your legs everytime you try to take it off, so you shave your legs.

I know it is not the solution of choice for many on here, but I just stay away from water. Unless it is a shower or a bath, I am like the Wicked Witch of the West. You can call me Elphie for short :P

Um, if you're presenting as a woman and the other women aren't topless then neither should you be. Look around you - you'll see the answer.

If you're presenting as a man be prepared to answer questions.

thank you Racquel. I am going to look into the swim trunks idea. I have no trouble passing, but I don't have the best body (could loose some pounds, working on that.) Being 29, I have to wear something in style. Maybe even more so because most people don't peg me older than 25-26. Added to that, every one of my friends are aware of me being ts, so I don't want to wear anything too reviling, as I don't want them to be uncomfortable.

Many older men have man boobs. Last summer at a resort we saw an older man in the pool that was at least a B cup. It was gross. I don't try to present as a woman in a pool. But I do wear a colored shirt over my trunks to cover my breasts. I think everyone is glad that I do. Leanne
