Drinks, anyone?

Hi. When you're out and you order a drink, what's your favorite "girl drink" when you go out? I need some suggestions, as I'm getting tired of sipping white wine. Do you have a "go to" drink?

I love this one - Midori Splice.

If I can remember correctly, midori, pineapple juice, coconut rum and cream.

Bailey's irish Cream or another type liquer such as Grand Marnier or Irish Mist.

The Bailey's is the tamest of the three and tastes soooooo good.

A nice cold beer in a glass isn't really that unfeminine either. But use the glass.

I need some suggestions, as I'm getting tired of sipping white wine.

I don't get tired of sipping white wine, chardonnay is all good for me. Wine also seems safer when you are trying to limit your alcohol consumption because you have a much better idea about how much you are really getting when compared with mixed drinks.

I have a "thing" for champagne. As this is a wine though, that's out.

I enjoy a SoCo and lime and lemonade in a tall glass with a straw which can double as a stirrer if need be.
The tall glass is important as it seems to make the drink last longer.

Remember and be aware of what and how much you are drinking though.

Generally wine, but I have been considering trying to develope a taste for mixed drinks. Basically because that is what most women around here drink ! Normally I would not have hard alcohol at all. If in bars, and alone, I generally only have a drink or two over a night. Mostly have soda - safety for both driving and life in general (as a woman alone that is...)

For your average bar that doesn't have a blender I'll go for a Sloe Gin Fizz (I know, very 70's) or a Cape Codda' (cranberry juice and vodka).

As what to order on my one and only night "out" so i didn't want to do the all so great cosmo.. (sit at home enjoying those.. ) so i ask the cute bartender (into gay guys..dang..my luck..lol..anyway..), so he mixed up a brew and i'm someone may know what it is.. vodka, grenadine, cherry seven... or something to that effect.. had 3 and that was good..

taking notes so on my next venture (hope this weekend) i can order like i own the place.. wow..what a thought.. :)

Mine's white zinfandel, which despite the name, is a very pretty shade of pink, and slightly sweet. Gotta luv pink :)

Oh, a Manhatten straight up in a chilled martini glass with three cherries. Good thing about these is thy are not necessarily girly drinks (I used to drink them all the time in drab) but look at home in your hand no matter how you're dressed. Excpet at a raucous sports bar. That might cause looks...

I tend to go for a glass of red wine or a gin and tonic, my wife on the other hand goes for a Margarita. A really girly drink in the UK is a Babycham. No regular guy would ever go into a pub and order a Babycham! :D
