A kind of interesting thing happened to me this morning that I thought I would share.
I went to the local RMV to pick my new vanity motorcycle plate , I was early they had not opened yet so I sat on one of the benches outside in the hall way , in a few minutes a lady about 60ish came in and sat next to me to wait , then some more people came in , I don`t know why but all of the men that came in sat on the bench across the hall and all the women sat on my side , I quickly realized that all of the men on the other side were sitting like men do and on my side all of the women (and me) were sitting with there legs crossed at the knee , I couldn`t help myself and started to giggle , the women next to me turned to me and asked what was so funny , I leaned over to her and said look at the way we are all sitting , she looked at everyone and quickly turned to me and quietly said to me you are sitting like a girl with a big smile and we both started to giggle .
The rest of the people must have thought we were crazy because no one usually has fun at the RMV.
They unlocked the doors and that was the end of our fun !
Does anyone else pay attention to trivial things like this while waiting in lines or for appointments ?

It`s those little things in life that can say so much about you . :)

I notice those things, but I usually keep any thoughts I have, to myself.
btw.....I usually sit like you did. Mainly, because sitting with my legs crossed "like a guy" puts a strain on my knee joint......sitting "like a girl" is much less so. :battingeyelashes:

I cross my legs all the time when I sit. I never thought of that as a girl thing... Could it be that I'm even more feminine than I thought I was? :heehee:

I was more commenting on the kind of sloppy ways the guys were sitting and was surprised when she picked up on what I was thinking so quickly , I am usually not vocal about those kinds of things , but I just went with what I was feeling at the time.

I do too -- unfortunately, in completely the wrong place to be "feminine". I usually sit "Indian style" (as we used to call it), now called "Half Lotus"... it comes naturally for me, even when I'm wearing a skirt. ("Full Lotus" is rather more stressful for my legs, but I can do it for a while.)

In junior high school I was on the wrestling team (perfect record...I counted more gymnasium lights than anyone else) and you know those ...what shall we call them unitards?... so I was sitting with my legs crossed at the knee. In this case the whole team noticed and called me out for sitting like a girl. I think I was traumatized after that and became a crossdresser. ;)

Hi Lorileah

I remember one time in 5th or 6th grade this girl called me out in the lunch room for sitting "like a girl" I basically treated it with a "so what?" attitude and she dropped it. I guess she was hoping to get a rise out of me...as if :)

I wish I could comfortably cross my legs at the knee like a girl but my top leg feels like it is right under my nose.

Funny thing happened to me today sort of like that.I was watching the fork lift operator lifting a big steel plate off my truck trailer.I was standing off to the side by the building entrance with my legs close together and one leg back and my toes pointing down.I was leaning on the door frame one hip cocked to the side.
One of the office ladies walked past me and said "you stand like a girl".
I said "really? thanks so much".She laughed and said you better change your stance second shift is coming off break.I laughed and told her yeah I guess your right.Do you think she knows?

Most men find sitting with their legs crossed at the knees uncomfortable. One reason is, because it squeezes
their parts!
Of course, MOST men don't go around in the tucked position very often!:heehee:
