For you girls that think ears pierced still a taboo, this is how wear earrings
24x7 and nobody seems to care. As a matter fact i have got several compliments over the years. Dont be afraid it's your life and nobody care
what you do!!
What do you girls think?

Beautiful, Juliana! I just adore earrings and go my ears pierced as soon as I was 18 and didn't need parental permission. I now wear earrings 24/7 too...guy earrings in guy mode and girl earrings in girl mode...though I've occassionally worn a pair of women's earrings while presenting as a male.

I have been tossing the idea of having my ears piercd for a while now, but up untill lately it was never to be. Now I am free of the controling she beast I can give it some more thought, who knows one day soon I may just be able to be rid of the clipon earings that I searched for so long for.:heehee:

I have had both my ears pierced for over 8 years now and am waiting for the summer to get some additional studs placed in each ear. I think that I will get at least two more in each lobe and one in my cartilage. Those are my plans for now, let's see what really happens in the next 4 months! As I teach school, my wife may veto the number but I have been preparing her for some additional piercing since the first of the year.

i had my ears pierced when i was in my 60's and wore earrings to work all the time, in fact i bought them from a girl that came into work every two weeks and my manager, my supervisor and all the women in work helped me pick them out. the only one that knew i was a c/d was my supervisor.

You can't have more piercings than your SO! So, I'm limited to having just one in each ear.

Seems like an OK rule, easy to get around though, just get your SO to get some more piercings! :)

I have had my ears pierced for about four years. My SO was surprised but pleased. A few people were surprised and "concerned" (about what, I'm not sure). Most people didn't notice and didn't care.

Beautiful, I did mine a couple years ago and have been questioned but now everyone just accepts. Keli

Did both ears more than a year ago, only been without someting in both ears one or two days since. My wife & I share jewelry on a regular basis. If that expensive pair of earrings looks better on her than me, she wins and I pick out a different pair.

I got my ears pierced four months ago and will never regret it. No one notices or cares. I have only recieved one comment so far. It is very common these days for guys to have thier ears pierced.

It's a little bit difficult for me to get my ears pierced - just due to my work situation, as one of the official keepers of the taboos (though I have colleagues who have pierced ears w/o problems, their situation is moderately different than mine) as soon as I change jobs (hopefully within the year) I am definitely getting my lobes pierced.

Too late - I have 6 ear piercings, she has 3.

I have 9 "other" piercings, she has 2.

You can always go the 1/2 & 1/2 route.
Get two in your left ear [Or right in the EU] then get the other ear done later on.

PS: I think that 2 or 3 month rule is BS.
Granted you have to keep something in there but after 2 weeks I swapped out earrings in new piercing with no problem.

I now wear 1/4 "pirate" hoops in my ears most of the time with not a thing said about it. Probably gonna get a second set as soon as I get off my ass & go get it done, lol.

I think that it becoming more acceptable thanks to the JOCKS in the major sports who all seem to be wearing GIANT Diamond earrings

I've been contemplating that as well, but really, I would like to just wait to decide on that until I go out and get my first full outing experience in. If I really feel that they'd be a benefit to passing, then yes, but I also need to determine if it'd be a problem with whatever job I have at that time.

I just had my ears pierced this past weekend, and haven't gotten any negative reaction to it at school. In fact, the only time anyone's said something, I had to prompt them for it. ("I'm kinda surprised nobody's commented on these yet.") So far, so good, I suppose.

I lose. My SO has reactions to everything, so I am ahead 1 to 0.

Two in the right and now trying to plan summer vacation so I can spend enough time with the new stud in the left to not have worry about taking it out when I get back to work. MAybe a clear post will be enough for a couple weeks while it heals?

Just a thought - for those of us who cant/wont/dare not pierce our ears, but love earings, try magnetic ones - they are terific! And easily available on Ebay.

You know, I made it through the 80's without getting the obligatory left-ear piercing that all my friends had. To this day, I've never pierced my ears at all.

I don't think it is really taboo for men to have pierced ears anymore, is it? I see both men and women with more than just pierced ears these days - no one seems to bat an eye about it.

Oddly, I haven't really considered piercing my ears since accepting my own crossdressing. I'm not going to get my cd-membership revoked because of that or anything, am I? :heehee:

I guess I don't care one way or the other. I might get some flack at work if I showed up with pierced ears, but aside from that, I doubt anyone would care. I'll have to ask my wife and see what she thinks. Don't think we ever spoke about this one before.

I'm pretty big in to skeletons, so if I pierced my ears, I'd likely get some cool skull earrings. Think that might actually look good on my man-side. Could open up some cool options for my femme-side too. :)

Yeah - I made it through the 80's and the 90's without getting an ear pierced - never felt the need - but all of a sudden, now that I am much more open about my dressing, I am absolutely giddy about the prospect of having them done. As soon as I change jobs... they are going to be a reward for my self.

'cause I see middle-aged guys with beards and little diamond studs from time to time, who don't seem at all girly or piratical. In fact there are a couple at my church, but I'm afraid to ask them why they did it.

Why do men do that?

If you want to get them in person, I was picking some up at Claire's before I got pierced.

"piratical" What a great conjugation! I don't know if it is right, but it is awesome and made me giggle.

As for why they do it? They think it makes them look tough. I have a colleague who has about 14 earrings, and while he is anything but tough, he is definitely fronting the part.
