Where is your husband? Why did you get a divorce? These seem to be pretty common questions which everyone transitioning with kids must face. So I wondering how do you handle the questions.

You say... "It's none of your business"?
Hehe. How would they know whether you actually have a husband or a spouse? I actually wear a wedding ring, although I'm not married. Think it makes my fingers look more feminine.

I've sure that people have a lot of questions, both constructive and idiotic, but most don't have the guts to ask them...it's never been a problem for me.

I had a good giggle with this as I have had some funny storys to tell...I am a married TS who lives 24/7. I have been seen as my wifes sister, my own sister, people have asked my wife these questions; "Where is your sister?" "Is that your sister with you?" and "I see that your husbands sister is visiting?"
A month ago I was having gel overlays done the girl asked me; "What does your husband do?" Now that was a good one as it floored me and she was so suprised at my answer that for a short while she thought that I was joking. I told her that I am the husband.....
So the way to handle it is just to say something and even if the something the truth or some story you make up about your 'husband'. You can even say that he does what ever, and that can be what you really do for a living, they will be none the wiser.

In two years I've never been asked anything like that. If anyone asked what my husband did, I probably say "my spouse is an accountant" Lot's of people that don't know me from before transition know I live with a woman and have four kids. Nobody's ever asked how that happened.

Yeah, I've never been asked that before either. Probably cause I still look like the "husband" lol, and I don't see that changing!
