I was going to go to my local casino here but first decided to play it safe and emailed them and asked if it was ok for crossdressers to go there and surprisingly got a response of no. While he said I was aloud to come dressed I was not aloud to play on the gaming floor. He said it was for my sake because if i were to win a big jackpot I was required to show ID and that I'd be representing myself different then whats on my ID, and that costumes and/or disguises were not aloud on the floor.

My question is are there any casinos that allow it? Preferably in the NY area?

The obvious solution would be not to win a big jackpot. Of course not winning a big jackpot has always been pretty easy for me.

I can't speak to New York but I have yet to have any problems in Nevada casinos. I have Players Cards for several properties in Nevada with my femme name on them. Money has no gender :D.

haha! Yeah I think I could handle that too. I can't seem to win 4 quarters at a change machine.

The casino's answer seems kind of lame to me though...although I wouldn't put it past a casino having a policy against costumes/disguses. Good luck with your search.

I've been to LOTS of Casinos dressed. Never won a huge amount so no idea if they would have made a fuss about it. Seems to me if I won a significant pot, I'd be quite willing to lift my wig while they forked over the cash though! lol

Stephanie and I just went to the casino in Colorado about 1-2 weeks ago now. We didn't have any problems.

I would say go for it. As TxKimberly says: "I'd be quite willing to lift my wig while they forked over the cash though!" Have fun. Crossdressing is not a disguise.

What I've found out is that casino's will take you money no matter how your dressed!!

Yep,

I spend a lot of time in the summer at South Lake Tahoe (where our boat is slipped), and have gone to the casinos several times, en femme. Of course "cheating" a bit, by mainly going to the drag shows at Harvey's but no untoward eyes, or attitudes. Both tight, colorful pants looks, as well as hoochie clubbing look. My favorite time was prolly when both of us were decked out in fur, during a Winter visit- borrowed her Crystal fox, over form-fitting leather mini, with sparkly top, and her sheared mink, over a cocktail dress- lots of kudos that evening ;-)

I'm a bit of a Jinx, to my wife's Blackjack sucess, so mainly let her go solo (down payment on my Porsche, came from her large winnings in '04 ;-)

A lot of Bay Area gals frequent the nearby Indian Casinos, which have been sprouting like weeds, the past few years, and the Player's Card, etc. things are likely the easiest form of femme "ID" to attain ;-)

Have heard of some restroom/security gaurd "run-ins" with the less passable, and/or "faux****" hottie types of presentations, at the Indian Casinos (due to rural location, and less cosmopolitan clientele?), but think the Tahoe, Reno, Vegas, Atantic City "real" Casinos aren't ever an issue. Lots of Silicon Valley t-gals are in Vegas for various trade shows, and popular to go out en femme, there

I went to the Atlantis in Reno one time. I was staying in the hotel, so all I had to do was take the elevator from my room straight into the casino. I did not gamble, but just walked around and shopped. It did not even occur to me to ask about their "crossdressing" policy.

I went dressed and won. Only $5. Never even considered that it could be a problem. I figure, I'm not trying to fool anyone about my true identity, so if required, I would provide it. I figure, CDing is much like growing a beard or getting a deep tan as far as your photo ID goes...shouldn't matter as long as you are upfront with them. ...just say you CD because it bring you good luck.

I dont get this, If I were in guy mode and wearing a baseball cap and shades I wouldnt look like my ID, plus on one of my ID cards I have a beard and on another I dont! Wonder what they'd do if I won......Wait till I grew a beard or ask me to shave!???!

Karren and Kimberly, you two must be the prom queens at the casino. Why is everyone dressing down for all venues. People used to dress up, for dinner, church, flying ect.

Chinook Winds casino on the way to the Oregon Coast, the last visit on a Sunday morning, no less. Very demure and professional in a black knee-length skirt, black stockings, 4" heels, black handbag and a lovely purple turtleneck.

First time I only played slots and won $56.00. Second time I sat at my love (the 10-dollar Blackjack tables) & won $140.00. Stopped at Macy's in Salem on the way back and bought a pair of shoes to celebrate! :heehee:

One thing I did not like about the casino visit is the huge number of really older couples and un-accompanied older ladies there, many of them obviously disapproving my presence. I guess that's because I looked waaaaaay better than they do.

The first time there, I asked a roving security guard about restrooms and was advised that I needed to use the unisex 'private' restrooms. The good thing is that I had to approach very close to and speak to the guard before he realized I was not a GG.

No problems at all while at the blackjack table...my table partners were great. Well, then again, I was outplaying them....

Yes maam

Been to a half dozen of the ones here in Iowa dressed. Only time I had any problem was when I was a newbie in the outside world. I was nervous as hell and then a security person and a state BCI agent(GG) came up to me and asked for ID as they thought I might be on the self ban list. Handed her (his) ID, which looks nothing like me, she checked for wants and warrants and said you are in no trouble have a nice evening. Of course I about peed my panties and left soon after, but chalked it up to experience.

If someone is there pumping the slots full of money and drinking their drinks, I don't think that they would really care if someone comes in dressed as Big Bird. I'd say go for it!

Holly,

Can you tell us how you got the player's cards? The last time I filled out apps., maybe six months ago, in two different L.V. casinos they wanted "government ID" before they would give me the cards. I showed them my femme college student ID, my femme credit card, etc. but they would only accept "a driver's license, state issued ID card, or passport."

Thanks.

I have been to a few casinos, most gamblers are too wrapped up in their machines or tables to notice anything, the security people and the pit bosses do notice but don't really care. If your local casino has a policy against crossdressers it does not need our business.

I did once when the Emerald Queen was a river boat. Not since it was a sprawling complex it is now. All you have to do is act like you belong there and have fun. I noticed that everybody else is in their own world and don't worry about some cross dresser or any body else. I had a real fun evening but hate to loose money. There were a lot of people and some of my female co-workers but they didn't see me. That was funny. Just go out and have a good time. You Will

That's not Turning Stone is it? I'm glad then I didnt go either! (not like I'm laible to win or anything?!!!).........If I did I'd be in disguise so I wouldnt have to share!:D You'd be amazed how many freinds you have that dont recognize you without a "President" in your pocket.

I have wanted to do that for a long time now. You go girl and they won't throw you out until your pockets, or purse, are empty.

I think a great outfit for a casino would be a female pant suit combo thing. Women have the best looking clothes in this department, a lot better that the male option of suits. Just my opinion.

Next week I plan on going to Glamor Boutique for a makeover and then to see the sites in Vegas. Walking downtown, seeing the cover and then the strip. I have made a goal for myself to sit at a couple of Black Jack tables and gamble. This will be a BIG step for me. Hope to take lots of pictures and will post when I return. If anybody has suggestions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

IMHO you take a real good chance of being read in a casino (if this matters to you). So many cameras, and security. When I get up the nerve to go out I think that I'll choose a slightly less paranoid destination.

Lol... I'm usually the only one in the casino in a skirt... Then again I'm usually the only one just about anywhere in a skirt these days! Lol. And I've always had a great time.. Some of the little old ladies are a hoot to chat with.. And the servers are always bringing me free drinks.. And I rarely win but loosing money enfemme is way more fun than winning in drab any day!! :)

Actually it doesn't matter to me but what I've found out over the years that crossdressing in large group anywhere allows you to blend into the crowd more effectively than any sparcley populated destination where you tend to stand out more..

Before I realized I no longer wanted to work in Human Resources, I spent a year as the HR Director for the Skagit Casino on I-5 in Northern Washington.

Since this is an Indian casino, they can make up their own rules on everything, including those which are counter to common sense and Federal law. They also make them up on the spot if they wish.

I was always in drab at this casino, but 3 of my CD friends visited one at a time. Two were met at the door by Security agents and followed at about 2 feet, pestering them with their presence. The third, that was the most passable was not even noticed except to get flirted with by a State Gaming Agent.

When I inquired about various things including crossdressers, I was told that as long as they are gambling there were no concerns. Being in an obvious costume that could allow you to rob or steal from the casino, regardless of gender was not allowed.

Since working there I have been back many times to shows and for dinners. I have lingered on the gambling floor and played 21 numerous times with no problems. No, I have not won big but don't expect to.

I have found that when I go to Vegas if I dress in jeans, a nice top with just enough makeup to make me look presentable (nice) so I don't draw to much attention, I act like I belong there just like any other woman. I love playing Blackjack so when I sit at a table I might get read but once the playing begins the other players concentrate on trying to win some money.
Just interact normally, be friendly but not loud, act like a lady...simple.

He said it was for my sake because if i were to win a big jackpot I was required to show ID and that I'd be representing myself different then whats on my ID, and that costumes and/or disguises were not aloud on the floor.

I'd love to be a lawyer and tear them up.

Representing myself different than whats on your ID? You ARE you, are you not? I mean, if you're not you, who are you? Which feeds into the second point....

Women's clothes are not a disguise. Plenty of women wear falsies...does that count as a disguise? Plenty of women wear makeup. Wigs. False nails. Does all of that count as a disguise?

If in your photo ID, you have very long hair and subsequent to having that photo taken you decided to shave it all off and go bald, are you in a disguise? What if you grow a mustache or a beard, or remove them? Is that a disguise?

What if a woman is undergoing chemotherapy and loses all of her hair. Is that a disguise? What if she puts a wig on that's a significantly different hair color? What if she dyes her natural hair?

There are feminine clothes designed specifically for men. Heels, hose, dresses, etc. Is wearing those considered to be a disguise?

If a woman wears all men's clothes, is that a disguise?

Good grief. CDers aren't walking around trying to look like Darth Vader or something.

There's a somewhat related news item out there about a guy in Florida who goes around in a Batman costume. He was arrested for it, under a 1951 law. The charges were dropped.

Facial recognition software, so much for being in disguise. I think you will attract attention from security but they won't bother you unless you make some sort of production.

While I've never been to casinos in femme, I do have to take issue a bit with the OP's approach here. Not only in this thread but a number of others I have seen posts where other CDs have asked management of various businesses in advance whether or not it is ok for CDs to attend. I'm not referring to questions about what type of dress (formal, casual, etc.) is appropriate but simply asking if it is ok to CD in their establishment. I strongly disagree with such approach for political reasons because it is "approval seeking." I assume most of us here who are CDs wish to be accepted by society. If you wish to be accepted by society, then you stand tall and confident and behave as if you have done nothing wrong and if confronted by someone who does not approve then you defend your rights by educating the person when that time comes. However, asking others for approval is not asserting your rights to be who you are. In fact, merely by seeking approval means that you have already demonstrated you have doubts about your conduct and who you are ahead of time. That may not be how you feel about it but that is how others will see it.

The real solution should be never to ask a business ahead of time whether or not CDing is ok. If a business does not want certain behavior on its property, then they reserve the rights to post signs on the entrances stating what is prohibited. Additionally, since it is private property they do have the right to refuse service for any reason (except as prohibited by law) and can ask you to leave. At that point you can take your money to their competitor and also complain in emails/phone calls to their management afterwards. I don't believe we should be seeking approval of others for what we want to do with our lives. Be confident and express yourself as you see fit. Again, if someone doesn't approve you have the right to educate them at that time, complain to management and potentially get their policy changed, and if anything take your business and your money to their competitor who will accept you. Perhaps some of you feel differently. I don't. I don't ask for my rights to free expression be pre-approved by others. Just as some here have mentioned, "What will the neighbors think/say?" I say since they aren't paying your bills and have no rights over your property, who cares. That's enough of my rant. Britney
