Ive been on hormones (dr. prescribed of course) for 6 months now, and feel so wonderful and happy that I finally acted on what I have known for many years. My mind and overall demeanor has surely benifitted from reducing "T" and introducing "E", I cant describe how much better I feel. While my mental state is so very much improved, I am starting to see some physical changes......Breast growth is starting, body hair is greatly reduced, libido reduced, skin seems to be softer.
I would love to hear some comments on what the next 6 months might bring. Of course my dr. will tell me what he "feels" what will happen, but he isnt the one going down this wonderful road. I have no plans on stopping, I'm just curious what others have experienced.
By the way my current prescription is 100mg/day spiro, and 2mg/day of divigel

Congratulations on your new life! It is so calming not to have testosterone rule your life. When I see the ads for Viagra and similar I am surprised as I never had problems with getting an erection-premature ejaculation but never the former. Oh well, that is behind me now. With spiro and estrogen you will start to lose your nocturnal erections and everything will get vey quiet. I hope you are clear on this not being a problem. I don't know if ceasing both meds would in time result in erections, etc, but I don't want to go there. While I can't be a woman, I enjoy the calmer, less sex oriented mental state that I have now. good luck! Helen

I'm on the same boat as Natasha, the SS Transitioner. I've been on E since August and Spiro for 12 months - current dosage is
2mg Estradiol 2xday
100mg Spiro 2xday
I'd love to hear some stories from those who've been on the cruise longer than me.

If the erections go away, then oh well. I've already done my biological duty, 2 wonderful kids. The wife understands that and is ok with it as much as I am.

The next six months will bring more of the same, but you will start noticing it less and less as you get more used to the new you, eventually it will be like you've always been this way and you won't give it a thought.

Natasha; Just the fact that you are happy now tells me you have gotten the most wonderful change of all. Anything else is gravy.

Being happy is what this is all about, Natasha, and I am so happy for you that you are..., well, happy. :)
As for myself, I noticed much more physical change in the second 6-month period than the first. Gads, I barely noticed anything significant at all until at least the third or fourth month and my dosages were pretty much the same as yours. Then again, I was on decreased intake for the first couple months.
