If you are going to patch a roof and get a manicure in the same weekend, try to patch the roof before you get the manicure.

I have learned and come to appreciate the concern GGs have about the care and condition of their nails.

I used to go for a manicure once a month. Of course I was dressed as a woman. The whole procedure took about an hour. My manicurist understood that this hour was like therapy for me so she took her time. The hot wax hand dip treatment was a favorite part for me. Then we would take a lot of time picking out just the right color for my nails.
Unfortunately because of my situation, I had to undo everything when I got home. But I didn't have to undo how I felt being pampered that day. Leanne

Short note,if you were to dress 24/7 the only thing you would have to undo would be your bra strap,or corset laces.Lol Chrystie

...or get someone else to patch the roof for you. :)

That also goes for cleaning out fence rows and pruning trees and bushes - I had beautiful long nails last fall, went out with my long handle pruners and honestly, within ten minutes, I had broken 5 of my nails.

In my experience the prettier I want to be on Friday night the greater the likelihood of breaking a nail on Thursday. I have decided my nail are too thin fto count on and I am now a glue-on girl.
