The best parts of dressing aren't really what non-CDs would guess. For me, they are:
1. The feeling when you look in the mirror and your other self is there...
2. The fear when you first step outside dressed and the door shuts.
3. The feeling when someone first sees you and they don't scream.:)
4. The feeling when you've been out and about and have forgotten that you are dressed any differently than usual!

"4. The feeling when you've been out and about and have forgotten that you are dressed any differently than usual!"
I'm that way.. even though I wasn't "out" in the public the past two weekends I was out, driving in the car while dressed up.. and wearing tights and heels and dressed up in a skirt and my favorite top.. driving around and pretty soon I forgot I was wearing what I was wearing..

Welcome to the forums, LeslieBird! :hugs:
Thanks so much for those things you listed there, it's wonderful to get some insight into what this can mean for my CDing partner. (I am an accepting GG/wife) and I'm still so new to what all of this means to him so thanks again... keep posting, I'm sure others here will agree and have something further to add.

Nice list. I can relate to the first two for sure. Maybe someday I can relate to the second two (the farthest I've gone dressed is my vehicle in a drive thru hehe).

Top of the list is having a wife that is accepting of your dressing.:hugs:

I should have mentioned that one. My best high was going out dressed once in NYC with my wife!

The GREATEST part of dressing is the REALIZATION that you finally are who
you you really are and the relaxation and euphoria that fills your soul.

Yea I just love that one to:)
2. The fear when you first step outside dressed and the door shuts.
With my luck my keys would be locked inside like I've done so many times before:doh: ....haven't done this one dressed though.
3. The feeling when someone first sees you and they don't scream.:)!
Oh she screamed her head off, get my stuff off you *#@%*!!!!:heehee:
4. The feeling when you've been out and about and have forgotten that you are dressed any differently than usual!
I don't think I'd forget that I was dressed different if I went out, it would be nice to be that comfortable though if I ever did.

The feeling when you look in the mirror and your other self is there...
Emphatically YES
The fear when you first step outside dressed and the door shuts.
OMG - hope that never happens to me......but for that to happen would mean that I have actually stepped out the front door dressed.
The feeling when someone first sees you and they don't scream.:)
The only person who has seen Tash is my wife - and it was more a quiet whimper than a scream
The feeling when you've been out and about and have forgotten that you are dressed any differently than usual!
Can't see that hapenning to me, I am always acutely aware of what I am wearing when I am dressed :daydreaming:

My wife knows I dress and she allows me to wear my leotards to bed. she has even bought me a couple of gymnastics leotards to wear in bed. for me the best thing about dressing up is;
1. Imagining myself dressed like a gymnast in a very shiny gymnastics leotard.
2. My wife telling me how smooth my leotard feels on my body.
3. Watching myself pull a shiny gymnastics leotard on in the mirror.

I usually forget how I'm dressed when having fun but that's what it's all about, no?:)

I think it was when I reveiled to my sisters-in law that their brother in law was also their sister-in law and then being refered to as one of the girls. Keli

4 - when I come home.
BUT, the best feeling for me is when the door shuts behind me and I know I am only Jane and absolutlly nothing else - utter bliss!!!

All the stuff that's already been mentioned rates highly in what I love about being dressed. But for me, it's just the state of being while I'm dressed. It's exraordinary. :battingeyelashes:

Thank you so very much JoAnne, your short sentence is the very essence of what I have felt the on all too few occasions I have dressed. I will use your quote whenever anyone asks me why I want to dress.
