Girls,

A GG friend of mine offered to take me shopping, and in fact insisted! So, this week, she called me up, said let's go shopping on Thursday afternoon. I work in boy mode, and it's been crazy busy at work, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to find the time. I decided to make the the time to go shopping with her, and I am so glad I did.

I didn't have time to get ready to go out as Michelle, so I went out in drab mode with my friend. She's such a good friend, asking me what I need to work on, and what I wanted to find shopping.

First things first, I need some really good shoes.. She takes me into the shoe store, starts looking around finds a couple of good shoes. Turns to the girl working in the store, says, what sizes do you have here? The girl answers, upto size 12. My friend then says, can I try these for her, in size 11, and I will try these in size 8.

The girl doesn't blink, goes to the back starts bringing shoes out. Ironically, they were having an amazing sale, so, I ended up with 4 pairs of shoes for $130.00! The experience was awesome, the women in the store perfectly accepting, and didn't question a thing.

So, next my friend says, we have to find you a nice dress, takes me into the next store, goes thru the racks, pulls out about 15 items, while, I am looking around to find things that I like. She, takes my arm, says, were going to go try all of these on, girl.

Walks up to the saleswoman, says I have these items, and I need two changing rooms. The girl in the store, starts to ask why, and my friend, just states it again, I need two changing rooms, and looks over to me. The saleswoman, walks us to the changing rooms, my friend says, I want two near the back we are going to be here a while trying things on.

The saleswoman, was awesome once we were in the changing rooms, she came back 'how are you ladies doing', do you need any different sizes..

My friend and I had so much fun. She says to me, your going to change, and I will too, come out, and I will tell you what I think of the outfit. Go take a look at yourself in the mirror, and don't worry about others here, it's just us. Let's have fun.

She helped me so dramatically on Thursday, I found a few great outfits, and again an amazing sale. She was clearly having fun, and she wants to go shopping with me again.

So, if any of you find an accepting GG friend, who is bold, as my friend is, I recommend you take her up on going shopping. She taught me three lessons, on Thursday, you are validated with other women, and it's much more fun to go shopping with other women, than alone, and the people in the stores don't care, they are simply doing a job.

I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful friend, who care about me. She's simply awesome.

When my wife started helping me everything got a little better and I wanted more and more so I can really undersatnd your thrill and excitment.

Treat your friend like an angel you don't find them very often and when you do let her know that you are appreciative of their help.

No go try some more cloths on :):battingeyelashes:

Wow! What a fun time! I'm so jealous! I've been coming out the last few weeks, and everyone is so great, and wants me to be happy and all, but the best is the fact that my Mom and I are building a new relationship. Today we had our first "girls" shopping trip. I picked up a few fem needs. My Mom is actually learning make up tips from me! Love it!!!!

WoW! Congrats. Shopping with friends is fun. I spent all day Tuesday with a friend and her very well behaved 5-year old son in Dallas at the Galleria. The young man knows me only as Jenna and treats me well.

It's fun to pick out clothes for each other to try on and educating to get second opinions. Tastes are similar, but sometimes mine can tend to the dowdy side and she says NO, you're not a granny, not yet anyway.

And I get to really have fun picking her clothes. She's 32 and a size 0/2, there's not much she can't wear well and I have her try on quite a few fashionable designer clothes even though we both know she's not buying them.

It really is more fun shopping with a friend.

Michelle, you must've been on :c9:, hun. That would be a dream-come-true if it could happen for me :daydreaming:. Make sure you thank your friend so that she knows how much she's appreciated, and whenever you two go shopping again, please share it with us. :hugs:

It's great, isn't it? My GG best friend is very similar. Always ready to go shopping with me, buys me nice things, gives me some of her things she thinks I might like, and tries to educate anyone who asks about me. She is also fiercely protective of me and takes no crap from anyone. I would be lost without her. We are very lucky, you and I, to have friends like this.

Hi Michelle,
I'm really jellous you get all the fun. A GG that adds that little extra touch when seeing you in a outfit and knowing that opinion is truely honest. Always let her know what a treasure she is.

Hugs,
Alice
