My wife gave me a card today. On the front are two women dressed alike, one a brunette and the other a blonde. Over the brunette she wrote "You" and over the blonde (my wife is indeed blonde) she wrote "Me". On the inside front, are the two women again. Over the brunette she wrote "Shannon" and over the blonde she wrote her name. And above the message on the inside back, she wrote both my given male name and "Shannon". The message starts off "Girlfriends stick together...." and ends with "How lucky I am to have a friend like you! Thank you for all you do. For who you are. For bringing out the best in me".

I am so truly blessed. I want to share this with all of you.

What a lovely post. So often people post about the negative things that are going on in their lives. Those posts are useful, both for the poster and those who offer support, but it's so, so nice to read a story like this. You have a very special wife. I'm very happy for both of you.

Shannon, I would bet that only one percent of the married girls in this site have a wife as wonderful and accepting as yours. Now do her a favor and butch up once in a while for her. Then she will even love you more. Leanne

Yes, it brought tears of joy to my eyes. This card -- and obviously the thoughts behind it -- is one of the most special things I have ever received, drab or femme. I'll treasure it and my wife always.

Knowing what has happened to me this past week --
-- Losing a job
-- Wife taking the kids and leaving without warning.

its so touching to see and read how loving and accepting some marriages are -- I thought we had that and was terribly heart-broken to find out I was wrong!!

Love her always and nuture that bond you all share daily!! It's priceless indeed!!

Congratulations on being one of the lucky ones that have that such an understanding partner. Mine is like that as well. She buy's clothes and jewelry for me. We share a closet. I couldn't imagine trying to do this without her.
