St. Patty's rolled around, and we set a record for temperature here, with the thermometer hitting the mid 70's. I pulled all the strings I had, and managed to get the day off. Been out a few times this winter, but this is the first time since October that the weather fit my clothes, and was able to get out and walk around a little bit. After a couple of quick stops to get my comfort level up, I made it down to Michigan Ave.,where it's a real nice area to just walk around.Well, with a combination of the first nice day, lot's of tourists, others playin hookie, and every office worker wanting outside, the streets were absolutely packed! I joined the crowd, and window shopped for an hour or so.Unbelievable feeling being out there with so many people around. No one gave me a second glance, no reactions at all---which was great! Also, skirt and heels blend in much better around here than the neighborhoods. This is the outfit I wore:

Are the rest of you "cold weather girls" ready to kick the winter blues?

That was really great, out with the weather. My time too.
Something not to many folk in here seem to notice is that fact you remark on..... Shoes and such like do go with the area you are out in. Wardrobes matter and yours likes to be seen.

I'm most definitely ready for outside. No place to walk in heels here in rural NY. Going to have to make the trip (100+ miles) to NYC to do some sight seeing and shopping.

Nope, I let my Italian blood be my sun block! [at least on the first day]:)

I know what you mean. I live several hundred miles north of you. My home is on a rural dirt road. The snow melted off of it. The county plowed it level. At night, it still goes below freezing. Early morning it's like walking on concrete. I had my 1st walk, outside, in my chunky heels a few days ago. It was HEAVENLY!!!

Hi Vikki, good for you! There is nothing better than a day out in the sun being my femme self. I'm split between envy and appreciation. Your photos look dynamite, too. Here's to you and your great day!

Kisses, Rachel

P.S. I'd kill for 70 degrees! Portland... rain... again... *sigh*...
