I have been reading some of these latest threads about some marital struggles and was wondering if there are always this many or is it because my own situation is paralleling so many others. The equilibrium between marriage and CD was always rocky but livable. This past week the environmental pressure called "wife" skewed the balance with those famous words "You are not a girl". She is of course right. Asking why I CD is just like asking why do I like sunsets? I just do...its me... I am hard wired.
So, I am smart enough to know that you don't argue with She who must be obeyed (copywrite Karren Hutton) I also know that purging is just expensive. Lets say that most everything is in a safe place that I can't easily visit.
So, while I am sitting in the stands watching all of you please continue telling your stories and letting us the virtual CD's of America celebrate with your victories and commiserate with your setbacks.

Christie Ann - welcome to the Forum - so many of us have had similar
struggles - if you will look at some of my old posts, you will see that we are
very similar - but there are so many others here that have and still face the
same problems - rest assured, you have a lot of caring sisters here to help
you

.......To quote a famous general: I will be back!
Arnold the California 'Governator' also said that but with his Austrian accent "I'll be bach!!!"
I see more and more of you sitting on the sidelines watching our train wrecks:doh:...hopefully other members are learning from them so there not all in vain.
Glad your also seeing the successes, those help me to see as well, I'm very happy for them.

Hmm-- Just bear in mind that the "victor" isn't always the "winner" my friend (In more ways than one.). To paraphrase "Wide World of Sports": "The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat." Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference, especially in a relationship.:)

I'm also in the stands, but w-a-a-a-y up in the nosebleed section...never having been married.
But that brings on it's own set of issues like...
-should I even bother trying at this late date...
-is it my own self-absorbtion in this "hobby" that's caused me to eschew the bonds of matrimony...(has my attitude towards the matrimonial state been influenced by my original guilt?)
-and despite all the great advice on how to break it to a new enamorata, should I? and ...for god's sake...how?
(I don't really want anybody's answers or opinions to these rhetorical questions. Just sorta fillin' in a blank in the miscellaneous section!...:))
Those who can't do...teach. Ya know what I mean?

I hope you and your wife can find a happy medium.I know it's not always easy. We're still searching here, and sometimes when I thought we found it, it slipped away.It seems to be a very slippery creature.

This past week my wife skewed the balance with those famous words "You are not a girl".
How does she know this?
