I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but... we've managed to finally get a whole weekend with no teenagers in the house. So, we thought we'd venture out to the Way Out Club in London this evening. Just wondered if anyone else from here is planning a trip or is a regular and can tell us the form, a good time to arrive etc.

Thanks

:)

ps forgot to mention this will be our very first time OUT!

There have been numerous posts on this Forum about the Way Out Club - you

might want to search the Forum and find them and read them

Thanks JoAnne. I have done that very thing. Looks like we're in for a late night. Imagine not going out until 10pm... at our age!

I will report back once I've caught up on my sleep.

Wow1 - It's been years since I was there! - We used to go to Ron Storms first but that was in the mid-90s > is he still dead?

anyway - have fun! WOC is cool

Sarah.

Not sure if you spotted my recent post, I went for the first time about 3 weeks ago.

I don't know London at all, and for me it was a bit of a pain to get there.

Traffic in London at midnight is very busy, and I was on my own, no one to navigate except my sat nav, and he did his best.

Have a good night, and please report back.

Sophie.

Well, here we are, back home safely at 1am.

We did read your post Sophie and fortunately know what London traffic is like. We got there far too early (on account of having a whole day to get ready and eager anticipation and excitement) so were there by 9.30pm.

We grabbed a (non-alcoholic for me as designated driver) drink and sat down. Not much to see apart from a few girls... and lots of oddish men loitering around the edges. But it was VERY early. We got a fabulous welcome by the famous Vicky Lee, her partner Lesley and a gorgeously tarty girl called Chrissie. We then sat back to enjoy the spectacle. And what a spectacle!

Now we know the form, we'll definitely go back but next time will have a glass or two of dutch courage and get on the dance floor and stay for the cabaret. As with all these things it would be good to go with a few friends to have a laugh and joke with. There were some stunning-looking girls and some not so! But it had a good 'anything goes and we're all friends here' sort of vibe.

This was Stevie's first trip ever outside the house and it went very well. We didn't feel out of place in the slightest. Unfortunately, because we're not used to staying up so late and because we have an early start tomorrow, we left at 12.30am (just as the club was really getting going).

As everyone has said, go late, stay late, and enjoy! Hope to see some of you there next time we go!

Thanks for the feedback, was hoping to go there sometime in the next few months but was a bit nervous. Sounds great though!

It's certainly a great thing to do. Even better if you can do it with someone else so you can have a laugh. I think it makes it easier to chat to people if you're more than just one too. There were a couple of girls on their own who sort of looked a bit lonely... lots of regulars and regular cliques too (I would guess). I think they have facilities for changing, so, if you like a drink in your hand when socialising you can leave the car at home!

Good luck!

I'll be right there!
Come to think of it, I might be a bit late as it's gonna take a little while to swim across the ocean while wearing heels and dragging my huge suitcase behind me. . . damn it . . .
OK, OK, I'd LIKE to be there ! :)
