I have brought this up a few times in answers to other posts but how many of you girls have a coffee clutch with friends or family as your femme side?

I have six sisters-in-law and over the past year I have came out to four of them gradually. This morning I was up early (5:30am), okay at my usual time, and made coffee and picked up pastries. I came home and put on my makeup and dressed in white jeans and lavender top, Donned the wig and a little purfumme and put on the heels for our coffee clutch. :daydreaming:

The oldest sister-in-law, Mary, has seen me dressed before but this was everyday coffee and this was new to her.:) I had also picked up individual Thank You cards for them as they have become not only my support group but also my sisters. Anyway they came over for coffee and it really was a morning of girl talk and picking on each other. We had a great time and when we parted there were huggs all around.

As CDers we sometimes think are sisterhood is our support group but fail to realize there are those we love and care for that support us daily. It was such a nice morning I thought I would share it. Now set up a coffee/tea cltch and have fun. :hugs::heehee: Keli

"Coffee Clutch" This needs some transAtlantic translation I'm afraid...Is that what we might call having a "coffee morning" or just "people round for coffee" in the UK, I wonder?

Oh, and if so the answer for me is "No" but sounds like a fine idea if you have the family/friendship circle with whom to do it!! Nice plan.

Judith, I guess you could call it anything, coffe morning, morning tea, but the thing is just getting together in a comfortable setting and being ourselves. And yes it is special.
From the otherside of the pond and in the midwest. Coffee, Tea, or me? LOL

Pardon me, but I believe the correct spelling is "klatsch", rather than "clutch". I can understand the idea of a "clutch" of hens talking over coffee, but I beleive the origin is Yiddish and brought here by Jewish immigrants .:)

Thanks for the correction and yes we had so much fun. It is nice when all the "girls" can get together and speak so freely and kid around about so many topics. These gals are my late wife's sisters and they are so sweet and accepting. I know my wife is probably laughing about some of the topics we discuss and things we have done to each other.

If you can get together with a special friend or more on a regular basis for coffee/tea the bonding and laughter will carry you all for hours and days. Have fun and love without reservation. Huggs Keli
