View Full Version : A Secret Code?

My wife and I went out to dinner with another couple tonight, me in drab. I swear the guy waxes his eyebrows but haven't the courage to say: "Hey, are you a crossdresser? By the way, so am I!"
Wouldn't it be good if we had a secret code to show that we are CD's? Always paint the left index finger nail pink perhaps?
Any suggestions for a universal CD signal?

Even if he does wax his eyebrows it doesn't necessarily mean he is a CD Hon. This "secret code" thing has come up many times before. Personally, I feel that it would take the fun out of things.:)

I like the idea of a code, but I think that the pink skirt might give it away to much. Maybe a flower print blouse.

1. Make a little 'O" with your thumb and index finger
2. Hold below the person's eye level.
3. If he doesn't say "I am a cross-dresser", he gets a punch to the arm.

I like Karren's idea of a "Secret decoder ring that flashes pink when ever another crossdresser wearing one is within 50 feet!" I would buy one the first day they hit the shops.

Come out with the most outlandish ideas and people would go for it it seems. As I've said before, CD's seem to more gullible than most with some things, especially "secret" ID's. The so-called "secret" would not remain secret for long in this day and age so would not be secret for long. So, why not say so to begin with? Sheesh!:)

What you do is either tell them you CD or hint at it. Get on the subject somehow (halloween for instance) and say you have a lot of respect for anyone who can pull it off in public and say you would do it too given the chance. I did this with two non CDing friends of mine (one saw my costume before and actually dressed with me, but for a gag) by telling them I had a certain costume in mind for the next time that I always wanted to try, I explained it is just in fun because of the reactions I get from people. They we're okay talking about it, but no hints that they would ever want to try it (the one who did was not willing to do it again). With a fellow CDer, I think either they will turn red or jump at the offer to join you. ...that's as close to the secret handshake as I've got.

Or you could just wear your "I "heart" Crossdressers.com" tee shirt you got when you signed up? Didn't get one? Awww. They must have run out of your size!! Told you not to get the EEE breast forms!! :D

Ahhhhh, if you really suspect that someone is a CD'er too, just bring up the Rocky Horror Picture show, and tell them you used like to go to the midnight shows dressed up as the lead character. Let him decide whether to ask if that's Brad or Dr. Frank'n'furter.

Untie a shoe-lace, cross our legs, sit up straight and dangle the shoe on our toes. :)

I didn't get a t-shirt. :lol2:
But maybe the
"I'd rather be in a dress" or
"A bad day in a dress is better then a good day at work"
Bumper stickers will arrive soon. :D

I have a secret code, but I can't tell any of you... then it wouldn't be a secret anymore :D.

Or perhaps we could occasionally add this line into general conversations.....
"The red cow flies south over Moscow tonight"
Then, if any crossdressers are nearby and hear you they can say.....
"And yet it is Easter-time in Berlin"
That way we'll know when other crossdressers are nearby :P
It may be time for my medication now :p

This has been discussed in several other threads and so far nobody has been able to agree on a universal code or signal. Perhaps something inconspicuous like a ring with the yin yang symbol could be worn to let others know there is a sister in their midst. :2c:

I thought there was a back pocket hanky colour code? Oh wait, if you're wearing femme pants they probably don't have back pockets. Scratch my idea. :)

I like this idea.. If you can feel out the group, and it just seems like it would be safe conversation, then go for it. Otherwise, if the females in the group start babbling about [insert pretty femme things here] and you chime in with 'Oh, yeah, I remember, and I also saw that beautiful [again, more]' and so on and on.. if it seems like he's riding the energy with you, then at LEAST he's got good taste. ;)

Touch the cap bill twice, point with index finger under left eye, then right eye, point towards player and brush across chest.

Seriously, I think it should be something specific and unique like, " Do you like the pink ray cds..." He could answer, " I have heard of those, I think, if they do what they say they can do, than I would like them very much..." The others won't have heard of them (of course), and if queried, you can say you must have heard it wrong, etc. How's that?

It looks very much like a variation of an Ankh.
Something I happen to have a few of and wear daily.
