Well, I just started taking hormones not to long ago, bout' 2 weeks, and I have yet to tell my mother. Any suggestions on how to tell her? I know she will accept me, and I'm just very nervous, ya know? Help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

Hi Krystil, welcome to the forum. I will be starting on hormones soon and I am coming out to my mother and sister on Saturday. I am also a bit nervous but hopefully I can get the message across that this is something I have wanted to do since my childhood and I have done a lot of research and soul searching before making the decision to transotion. I think my mother will understand but I'm not sure about my father.

You are confident that she will accept you, so I assume you have a good relationship with her, so that's the hard part already taken care of. Be honest with your mother, speak from the heart, and be prepared to explain your feelings and needs in depth. And good luck!
