Have you ever asked a GG you don't know, but while involved in conversation, for example, being asked the time/directions or at the checkout, where she bought a particular item of clothing or what her make-up is?

I wish I had the courage.

Quick etiquette rule - always compliment first. She'll usually just say thanks. If her radar is up, and she thinks you asked the "girly way," she'll usually follow by telling you where she got it. If not, just ask.

You'll like it.

The cool GG's will start a conversation. The uptight one's will scrunch up their facial features in an odd and sometimes unappealing way. It's a great litmus test for finding groovy people.

But, yes, complement first.

I wish I could, but I'm way too shy in person. I (currently) only venture out in guy-mode and I'm always afraid they'll think I'm hitting on them in some weird way.

Sometimes, I wish I could just whip out my Official CD Membership Card. You know - so I can ask about her makeup or outfit and then if I get the "are you hitting in me in a weird way" look from her, I could just flash my card and then she'd be like "Oh - cool..." and we could just chat. Of course, I might just get a weirder look by doing that. lol Oh well.

I have had them ask me where I got an item of clothing so I tell them.
Asking is easy like posted earlier just give them a compliment first then ask.
I asked an SA at Goody's where she got that wonderful ring she was wearing, she said on that rack right over there so I said I'll be right back I have to have one!She smiled and said I'll be here.

Neat idea, Gabrielle, but at best your Official CD Membership Card can only get you into girlworld, it isn't like Wonderwoman's Lasso of Truth (which forces those bound by it to tell the truth).

I often say I have a friend who I know would love that/is looking for...whatever it is!! Brianna is a very good friend of Brian so it's easy to ask without a hint of embarrassment.
