This morning I went to the lab to get bloodwork done enfemme. It was a follow-up visit to one I had been a couple of weeks ago (also enfemme) that I had made a thread of. It had been very exciting because it was such a first for me.

But two weeks ago I had seen these two ladies in a car that would not start. I was way too terrified to offer help. Thinking back, I was glad I did not because my little Honda may have been damaged with that huge car they were driving if I had offered a jump. But I promised myself if I ever had another chance similar to that I would take it.

Lo and behold I pulled up into this spot to park and guess what? There was a lady with her two kids in a Honda with the hood pulled up. I looked like in my new avatar I just changed. I could not believe it! This time I was ready. I sprung into action and got my cables and jumped the lady's car. The whole time we were talking with her kids right there. They were so happy and so thankful. I think I won over that whole family. They will not believe the reality shows from now on. They now know crossdressers are not like that!

After a few other stops, I came to a garden center where I aimed to buy a little pest control spray. I chickened out. Too many, way too may people. This was a bustling place. Hey, I have to improve my confidence! But next to me there was this lady standing and kind of frustrated. It seemed she had this big bag of peat moss she could not lift and everyone was so busy she could not get help. So I went over to her and told her I had a bad back so I could not pick it up for her, but if she helped me, I thought we could do it. And so it was. Hit number two for crossdressers. She was very, very thankful.

What was so interesting, is that in both of these cases, it seemed to me if I had been in male mode, I would have never received so much gratitude and accolades. Maybe people just do not expect crossdressers to be so nice. Maybe they never thought they would meet one. Maybe it is all in my head....

Wow, great job Michelia! I'm usually the one who pulls over to help stranded people in cars but I don't think I'd have the nerve to do it enfemme. Anyway, you've represented us beautifully! Thank you!

Michelia,

Go to www dot Superheroes R Us

You can find some killer high heeled boots, tight spandex suits and a really cute cape and mask.

Then you can patrol the highways and byways doing good deeds.

So nice of you to be so helpful and make a good impression.

Sue Ellan:

There is not a single person that I meet that does not know. I cannot stand make up, although I am trying. On this occasion I wore a thin layer of MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. No powder. I have giant pores and any other stuff or any powder just makes everything stand out and makes my face look like the lunar surface. So my beard always shows some, although I shave the best I can. Also, I just talk like my normal self. My voice is pretty deep. And I never use forms.

Phyliss,

Cute idea. It could be fun.

To tell you the truth, I am not crazy about costumes. Hell, I do not even do Halloween. I don't even CD on Halloween, come to think of it.

Just for you I will post some pics in the Gallery with just how I looked. They will be my first pics ever posted on the gallery (methinks). I did take these at home after I got back.

Hope my attire does not qualify as a costume!

Dressed enfemme or not, helping those around us is always a great feeling but when you do it while dressed it does promote the acceptance or at least overall picture of CDers. I curtsy to you and huggs abound. Keli

Good for you Michelia,
Doesn't it feel great to be able to help someone. I use my commute to work time as my daily prayer time. I always ask for the opportunity to help someone. Often my prayer is answered. Leanne
P.S. But I have sometimes driven past someone sitting in a car on the side of the road. I always feel terrible about that later. Leanne

Frist of all you would not damage your car to jump a bigger car. unless you had a bad altanater or battery. Second what reality show are you talking about, i have not seen a show where Crossdressers (whom are headrosexual) on TV before. If there are , are the CDers so bad and mean that they would give us a bad name? Well just wondering what you meant by it. HUGGS :hugs: :canada:

I must confess I am very ignorant about cars. I consider myself a good driver, but that is as far as it goes. So thanks for the education. I will not consider this from now on. I once had a little pick-up truck and jumped a big car (same voltage) for an old lady and the diodes got burned up. It cost me quite a bit of money to get them replaced.

As far as reality shows are concerned, I have never watched one. There is no TV in my house. What I hear and what I have read on this forum is that we are under-represented and most of the shows show drag queens and other types with major infidelity or perversion issues, sot that the public at large associates this behavior with all TS, including CDs. For the record, I have nothing against prostitutes or drag queens or perverts, as long as they are not hurting anyone.

I have also found out from my limited personal experience that most people I interact with when I go out enfemme (or partial enfemme) expect me to be gay, single, and who knows what else. I have been asked several times whne shopping in drab if I wear exhuberant wigs and super-high heels and outrageous make-up and I have even been requested to come back to the store dressed like this. In many cases , people expect and assume this is the way I normally dress when enfemme.

I imagine most of these expectations are due to the fact they do see drag queens on TV and on Bourbon Street (again, behaving outrageously, but are rarely exposed to CDs like the majority of us. When people find out I have a wife and kids their jaws often drop. It continues to amaze me that in the information age, we are still so highly misunderstood and unknown. Yet, on the other hand, I have yet to see a another CD like me walking around. It is like this for many people that I have met. I am the first CD they meet in their lives.

So what I said in my post comes from the impression that most people out there believe crossdressers are like those they often see on TV. And I do hope that once they have met me and interacted with me, specially if I have been very nice and helped them, that their idea of crossdressers changes dramatically. Once they go to look at these shows again, they may see through them and realize the majority of us are not like that.

Sorry, I have trouble making things short once I get going.

Michelia thanks for clearing that up , i thought you were talking of a CD tv show that i did not know about. your right about what people think, but i have had nothing but good experince's out and About dressed. i am out at work just last month and all's well. most people just treat me like anyone so far. lol. never had a rude comment in front or behind my back, lol, like teen girls laughing e.t.c. I wrote about the work thing if you want to know all about it you must read my other threads. As to your car you must have done something wrong. or the diodes were allready on there way out. Honesty I have no idea what Diodes are. I am more old school when it come to cars. but if you car is in good shape and you hooked the jumper cables right ie not back warders there should no damage to the cars. you might have started to put the cables on wrong then saw the prob and reversed them and that how you brunt out your cars (diodes) well anyway in the furture you should find a friend who know's how to fix car's and ask him or her to teach you a ew tip's to help you in the furture. KK goto go hun. HUGGS :hugs: :canada:
