At Appleby's last night with my wife. Waitress approaches from behind me, facing my wife.
"Here are your steaks, girls."
Now, the only fem thing I'm wearing is a large, cranberry colored scrunchie. I'm 80% bald. My thin ponytail forms a single gray ringlet. I have on a cranberry sweatshirt and jeans.
My wife doesn't notice, but I sure do.

Ain't it cool when it happens? Celebrate and enjoy the moment!

HA HA ! good story !
Plenty of ponytails on men these days, but scrunchies are still a very feminine thing. At least the waitress was paying attention.

I used to get mistaken for a girl all the time growing up.. it sort of bothered me at the time, but just because I thought it should and didnt want to be outed as some sorta freak. Later on it would happen less frequently, but I began to secretly love those increasingly rare occasions. Would love to go back in time and start the ball rolling in a different direction say, 20 years!
Who wouldnt.

I know ... it feels great doesn't it. The last time it happened to me at a restaurant was a sushi bar downtown about 3 months ago.
My wife and I were sitting there and we had just finished eating and the waiter guy comes up to us from a direction that was behind where I was sitting and says to me "are you all finished ma'mm?" .... I was in boy mode. I turned and looked up at him and he said in a very apologetic way "oh! ...I'm so sorry, I mean sir". I smiled and said "that's ok, you're not the first person to have called me ma'mm". :D I was wearing girls' jeans, and a girl's t-shirt in yellow, and a baby blue girl's hoodie and baseball cap.
