Passing.....at the beach...

Not that I ever have. I just think it would be awesome. Can anyone on the forum here pass at the beach? In say a one-piece mailot swimsuit? or even maybe *gasp* a bikini?

I really can't imagine how many years of work it would take to get to that point. I guess you would have to start young.

I really cant answer that, but dont see why not, I finally have the body for it, but still need to lose some more wieght & tone up a bit before I can wear a bikini to be appealing...:o

Don't know if I passed, but I wore a tankini top and skirt for a week in the Dminican Republic last summer and no one gawked or commented while strolling the beach or laying by the pool. Some looks from guys but nothig else.

It funny beach no but I did 2 water parks this summer with my wife and friends and I wore my yellow and blue nike tankini with skirt bottoms it was great i am sure after like a few hours my beard shadow was starting to show but i know I didnt care.

Don't know if I passed or not, but a few years ago a GG friend and I decided to take a swim in the pool at the hotel we were staying at in London.

I was in full femme mode and in a one-piece swimsuit.

We were alone in the pool at that hour of the evening and, afterwards, we went into the lady's locker room to dry off.

While we were in there, and still in our suits, a woman came in, sat down with us, and preceeded to engage in "girl chat" as she stripped out of her day clothes and into her workout clothes.

Certainly made for an interesting evening!

I'm working on the same thing. Could try a 1 piece with a skirt, ie swimming dress. or 1 piede with a cover uo. or 1 piece with a bottom cover p, or 1 piece with short khaki shorts, or the above with a tankini. I'm going to this summer, just working on the details. Also plan on wearing a thong shaper underneath, as I'm obsessed with a good figure. Am fit but love to be passable.

You can have an excellent beach or pool experience if you keep a few things in mind:

* You'll find lots of women in both venues lacking the perfect bodies of a 23-year-old who spends hours a week at the gym, so don't fret that you bear little resemblance to the latter.

* A one-piece swimsuit with some sort of control panels will do wonders for your shape.

* Wearing the kind of coverup that women wrap around themselves when they leave the water will help you blend in.

* Extra large sunglasses are a girl's best friend; they hide the bony male brow line that so often gives away our gender.

* A floppy straw hat with a sash that ties under the chin will not only hold your wig in place -- particularly if you're on the beach, where it tends to get windy -- but also obscure your facial features just enough to help you pass.

* Use the mannerisms you've seen from women at pools: The little tug at the bottom hem of their suits that keeps them from exposing too much of their cheeks, the deft reach behind as they lie on their stomachs to untie the backs of their bikini tops for a perfect tan, the strategically placed towel that keeps them from revealing more than is discreet.

* Oh, and before taking the plunge, don't forget a good shave. Everywhere.

I agree that this is not for everybody, and certainly not for the faint of heart, but it IS possible...actually the hard part is getting to the beach, as already said a cover-up, hat and sunglasses are musts...but it CAN be done, witness this picture I took of my reflection on the way back to my hotel, in a very public place:

I did go out when I was in my early twenties to the beach in a one piece suit and my hair was really long and there were almost no people out so "if a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it fall does it make a sound"? same thing about my passing 30 years ago????? In my fantasy dreams I would love to pass, but when I wake up I realize it was a nightmare.

I so seriously almost bought a nice Land's End one piece a while back, they were on sale, so the price was well worth it. I just happened to be broke, so I couldn't afford it. I hear there's supposed to be some sort of plastic tab that you can insert to cover your appendage and make it look a little more natural.

But yes, I am considering the possibility of doing exactly that.

Kimberly and Cissy - wow, you girls are amazing!! 99% of the public just sees a woman at the beach/pool, what could be more normal, right?

It's been one of my fantasies to wander down Waikiki beach in a bikini for a long time now. It would just be the best. But, my family situation and my body type will prevent that, at least, in this lifetime.

My only regret is not starting HRT at the age of 12 or so. I hear they're doing that now for some kids, lucky young'uns, for sure. To really, honestly, be wearing that bikini and have the body to bring it off, wow. How awesome would that be!!! :)

But I do need to trim my waist more 1st, so I'll have to see how that goes, but I'm getting there little by little, so far I lost 5" off my waist in 2+ months,
because one thing I dont want to do is be a chubby chick out there on the sand, although I've seen plenty of those on the beach before, so I wouldn't be alone if I did, but I just wont do that to the public..:battingeyelashes:
