Wow. So, it IS possible to portray a transperson in media without doing it for cheap laughs, sensationalizing the process of transition, or the inevitable moment when they are revealed as fakes. A transwoman as a person...How novel, how adult, and how sad that it brought me to tears with surprise.

I was just happy when I saw a KOFY TV20 ad that we are about serving the community. Then they proceeded to show every one they consider to be part of the community. Towards the end they had a trans person in a red dress wit h white polka dots .

What a beautiful, thoughtful presentation! I cried too!!! Somehow I can't see any of our big, heartless financial organizations ever presenting such a heartfelt statement like that one! Thank you for posting it!

Bank of America is a bit impersonal on the institution side but at the local branch where I bank (I bank with them), they are the very model of acceptance, at least on the personal level. The tellers greet me by name when I walk in and I get an overall welcome feeling when I go there plus the fact that if I am ever NOT around my home branch, there are approximately 17 billion of them around the city which makes it convenient. :thumbup:
