Girls, I have a question (and maybe a problem as well). When I get
frustrated because I have not been able to dress as much as I want to (or
need to) and when I have not been able to express or allow JoAnne to come
out, I compensate by going out and buying more clothes, shoes and
accessories for JoAnne. I have been in a real funk for several weeks
because I have been unable to dress - for various reasons. So during the
past three weeks, I went out and purchased new shoes, a Derby Hat, two
new purses, three new dresses and some jewelry for JoAnne - JoAnne's
closet is already bursting at the seams - yet in my funk, my depression, my
dispair, I try to relieve those frustrations by buying more. I really had a
wonderful time in the stores - buying the Derby hat was great - the SA talked
me into buying a purse to match (like I needed to be talked into it). But my
question is - " Do any of you try to compensate for your angst in not being
able to dress by going on a shopping spree ? " These shopping sprees are
fun, but they are becoming too expensive for me. At other times, I have
tried to relieve the pressure/urge/need to dress by being a part of this Forum
and living out in my mind what so many of you have and are doing.
The past three weeks have been especially difficult for me - mentally,
physically and especially emotionally - my frustration level is near the
breaking point - What do you do (when you can't dress) but have a
tremendous need to do so ? I would appreciate hearing from all of you and
I hope that you could help me and give me alternatives.
Hurting,
