I'm in Melbourne this week (eastern side of Aus) attending my company's sales conference. ( my last few days in guy mode, as I go full time in just over a week )

No one here has seen me for a whole year.

Several people have said to me that I'm looking really different now. They point to the fact that my facial skin now looks very clear and soft – and very toned.

This is something I hadn't really considered, as all I've been thinking of has been breast growth.

I didn't expect hormones to make much of a difference to my face after just 4 months.

Has anyone else had any similar experience in such a short time? – I’m wondering if the effect will get even better or if things will now stay as they are?

The differences will always be somewhat subtle, Suzy, but yeah, they do happen. As with other parts of your body, the fat deposits shift a bit, over time. It should continue, to some extent, for a while. After 7 months, I noticed that, and the things you mentioned. And from what I've heard from others, it's usually all good :)

Hugs,

Melissa :)

No... not particularly although I had really good skin to start with... I did go through a phase of acne... which comes and goes and I have developed these little hamster cheeks after nearly two years.. You can't really tell in the avatar because I'm pouting so here's a snapshot of a hamsterfied Golightly :)

I've been told several times that my facial features have changed (softened?), though it is difficult for me to see it myself.

This is before and after 1 1/2 years of hormones and before FFS...

For me the difference was in clearer skin and maybe smaller pores.

Yes it does happen, some quicker than others. Mine took forever. I was very masculine looking, very hirsute, but now when I look in the mirror I can see a much softer, somewhat feminised face looking back. At first, though, the changes in my face were negligible.

Hi Suzy,

I've been off and on Hormones, and even at my age I see a smoothing of the skin and smaller pores after just a month or two. Over time it gets even better. It seems to add a bit of fat under the skin, which softens the look.

I've not been on hormones for that long, but I can clearly see it getting nicer. It has gotten a lot softer and my acne has almost completely disappear, which I'm really grateful for. Since I entered puberty, I've had a rather bad acne. Now it finally seems to be getting better and I actually have hope that it disappears.

My wife has also said that I look more like a girl now. People have started to have hard time to actually believe that I'm not a girl physically, those silent moment are just great.

I told my friend Tammy (GG) what hormones I was going to be on and when I mentioned the Spiro, she instantly said my skin will look so good afterwards. She mentioned that she was prescribed that for a bad skin condition once and her skin became silky smooth.

Testosterone is one of those hormones which can cause very bad acne as well as other skin problems if there is too much. With a T-blocker the testosterone is blocked so with less testosterone and increased estrogen your skin softens up and gets nicer. Can't wait now. Should be less than a week now before I'm on hormones...:battingeyelashes:

Hello, I have been on hormones just over 4 months now. And I have noticed my skin on the body is becoming very soft. And I did see some of the maleness gone in the face. Last month I had FFS and that helped to remove more of it. But people around me that do not know what I am doing have been wondering about my face. I hear that for some reason are seeing a female face when they are looking at me and do not know why. So to me I don't see the changes as soon as someone else would. And its almost at the point it is getting harder to pass as male then female.

Lisa you look VERY femme - my face is bony compared to yours - I LIKE that softness!!

Yes, 2 years now and yes....I too went through some acne, top of forehead like a puberty girl...

The cheeks have kind of made my chin look weird... Whereas before the face all looked angular and in proportion now it kind of looks round and has this pointy 'bony' chin attached... One of the things I'll eventually have to get corrected.

I still reckon I look like a hamster *squeak* :)

One of my GG friends, who came to the conference with me, has just said to me that someone else had asked her if I've had a face lift !

If that's not a confirmation of what Hormone Therapy can do for you then I don't know what is !

Well that has to be pleasing!!! :D

Looking at the snapshot of me and the studio work I have to say without the studio makeup I look completely different... Interesting.

Thank you Lallie. :)
