Diane Schroer is awarded nearly $500000

Hi!!

I just saw this come through a few TG feeds I get.

U.S. District Judge James Robinson ruled Tuesday that Schroer was entitled to $491,190 in back pay and damages because of sex discrimination.

This could be the landmark case that helps to protect us from discrimination!!

With no nation-wide GENDA law, and most U.S. municipalities lacking the same, this ruling is huge. It starts a precedent, ruling-wise, that says that I'm a human being, worthy of equal protection under the law. But it's still not legislation. That will only come if we all get involved, however we can, Even if it's just by emailing your state and federal representatives, or making a small donation to groups working towards this end.

I'm encouraged by this, and very happy for Ms. Shroer. I'm also happy the Herald used the correct pronouns and respect for her sex in their style. It may seem like a small thing, but still is ignored too often out of ignorance, or to sensationalize.
