Shot with a phone camera that is. I was able to get out and about Monday, 5/4-- the forecast called for a perfect day, and it was! About 70, and very little wind.Stopped at Target, and picked up a few things, then headed downtown to walk along Michigan Ave., my new favorite place to go.Parked, and did some window shopping, and made it near the Tribune Tower, where there is a large plaza. Lots of people hanging out here, and I found a nice spot to park my butt, and rest my feet. So, I'm soaking up some sun, just enjoying the moment, when I notice a guy walk by,pulls his phone out,and aims it my way, holding the phone waist high. Then, passing, he checks the screen, and keeps walking.I was wearing a black pencil skirt, about mid-thigh, 3/12" heels, showin' a nice amount of leg! About 40 minutes later, I stopped, and took a break at a different location, and same thing--this time a guy in a cable company truck goes by, stops, backs up and parks. He's looking around, and out comes the phone and another "sneak-a-pic" aimed at me!This ever happen to you, or did anyone ask to take your pic? It didn't bother me, but I was surprised. Also, as a little bonus, as I was walking, Cub Manager Lou Pinniella walked right past me! By the time I realized it was him, he was gone.Kinda' cool! My 2 hours parking were about to expire, so back to the car.If anyone see's me pop up on some random site somewhere, let me know, ok? LOL:)

Ah! Springtime in Chicago and the saps start to rise!
;)
(Love the Tribune Tower and all the stones from all over the world built into the walls of that lovely courtyard!)

It happens more often than you might think.Any time you're out in public people will take your pic. Most are less obvious than your two guys. Just watch the sudden "phone calls" when you're in a restaurant, club or wherever. I've been photographed more often than I care to imagine and I've only been going out regularly less than a year.

Are you sure he couldn't see all the way up your skirt?

Hi Vikki-
I don't think I ever have, not that I've noticed, anyway. But it certainly sounds like it would be a great ego boost and a very flattering thing to have happen. You go, girl!

Good way to get your phone smashed in to bits... and as flattering as someone peeping at you through a hole in the change room wall! You can read this two ways, but as a CDer who strives to pass, it is actually flattering that someone thinks you look good enough to photograph and on the other hand they should really ask first (it is less creepy). Are you sure it is not the PI your wife hired to track you?...

Happened to me once. Stopped at the post office for some business and while walking back to my vehicle I saw a gentleman, standing by his truck parked next to my vehicle, pull out his phone and aimed it at me as I walked pass him. I was wearing a thigh hi skirt at the time. I was expecting him to say something to me when I was approaching my car but nothing was said.

could it have been, "I'll take a picture of the man in the skirt to show to my friends and family?"
Not to rain on your parade, but that is what I would think if somebody took a pic of me when I am out dressed. But then again, I don't go out in public all that often so what do I know?

I would agree with this statement. Quite honestly ive taken pictures of people who looked ridiculous before to show my friends. Never any "men in skirts", but people with funny hairdos or people with silly outfits...

As far as I know, I have not had pictures taken of me, and keep in mind, I make it obvious that I am a man in a skirt. And if they are taking a picture of me to show someone they know, "Hey ! Look at this freak I saw" more power to them, I get more exposure, and, there is a small chance that who ever they show the picture to, might just say back to them, " thats not so wierd ".

You can't expect privacy on a public street. Years ago, I was really into photography, and carried a camera every where.I have lots of good shots of random street scenes, all candid.I went for the grittier side of street life, though.

That's possible, and I thought of that-- winding up on an e-mailed passed all over the web! But, I walked around all day, passed thousands of people, and had no reaction thrown my way. Actually, I was wearing the same outfit as the pic in my signature link.
