Yesterday I was at the store with my wife and was looking at the books and magazines while she was at the Ladies:o, and a women walks up and starts to talk as if she is talking to another women about how you buy something and a week later it goes on sale. As she walked up I was standing looking slightly in the opposite direction so she didnt see me full on but, I was dressed in my usual style of nice casual and had my hair brushed up, it's very curly and looks very nice, makeup on etc. I think I stand and present well as a women. However, I do have a rather prominent bald spot when seen from the front. When I turned around, she did look harder and you could tell that she noticed the truth but, she kept right on as nice as could be.What a darling!
Sometimes it's the smallest things that seem to have the most impact on your good feeling for the day! I felt great and when the Missus came back , I related it to her and she smiled as well.

MajestyK,
Yes, it is such an uplifting feeling when you are treated like the woman you want and need to be. One instance like you had can erase a whole bunch of bad feelings left over from the last time you were put down for trying to be a girl!
I still remember a grouchy, curmudgeon of a professor who started calling me Diane after he heard my friends call me that. He didn't have to do that, but it certainly made me feel great! There really are nice people in this world. . . it's wonderful to meet them!
Love,
Diane

The little things do mean so much, but it's even better when you stop being surprised by them. :)

Hi M...that is a great story....good for you!!
I'm 6'2", tall for a guy, gigantic (ok i'm paranoid) for a woman....
I've been asked by women a couple times when I've gone out whether I played basketball!!! That's when I know I'm being accepted and I have loved that feeling my whole life..
then i think,
...so why did it take me 45 yrs to figure out what to do about it!!!?????

Michele, That is a bit tall for a woman, next time tell them you play beach volleyball professionally and see what they say!
It's just one of those little things that seem to mean alot I suppose when other women make those kind of comments.

That's a pretty cool story, Majesty. I'm sure it made your week. I live not too far from you. I realise that the capital region might be a little more socially liberal than central New York. Nonetheless, we have our share of rednecks, hillbillies and just plain intolerant people. But my transition and ineractions out in the world have been overwhelmingly positive. Be who you are, and people will treat you that way
Hugs,
Melissa:)

That's true Melissa, it is a bit more liberal down there but my transitioning has gone very well so far. Only once has anyone mentioned anything and then he was just being obvious in trying to get his wife's attention. Unfortunaely for him he got MY wife's attention as well!
It is the little things like this that seem to make all the trouble worth while. It makes me feel wonderful when they happen and I just thought I'd share.
