Hi gals, Just a question. I previously took hormones for six months, and the feelings internally were awesome. Havind those hormones course through my body were indrescribable. Taking them were not to only grow boobs, but to experience the whole wonderful magic of them throughout my body.

Oddly to answer a statement with a statement... All I got from hormones was a brain that stopped oscillilating between rage and screams, a broken penis that I never ever ever ever liked anyway, and a rather intense mental & physical attraction to boys... Phwoarrrr! :)

I wonder if that'll put some off?

Spanky,

Your list of posts is leaving me a little confused. In one you are starting hormones; on another you have been on them for 6 months. On one you are going to begin seeing a therapist; on another you have been seeing a therapist.

And your choice of wording, "Havind those hormones course through my body were indrescribable", leaves me with numerous questions. Hopefully you are serious and you are seeing a therapist.

the first therapist said no hormones because of my factor 5 clotting disorder. The second o.k. it bacause the factor5 is not as important because it is not the kind that would be severve as the one that has two genes, I have only one. Also ny first therapist was a concertist. Therfore. I am gioin g to Anne lawrence . She is post op and very propactice. As to my diy I realized, That going through this, I should seek a dr.s help. I hope this answers your questions.

What's the question?

I think the question here is what time does Da Plane! Da Plane! leave the island?

Spanky, I'm confused.

Is your therapist(s) also an M.D. and is the one prescribing hormones for you? Or are you seeing a physician/endocrinologist also? I know that psychiatrists hold an M.D. degree, but I don't know of any who specialize in Gender Therapy, though my experience is limited to north Texas.

The therapists I'm familiar with usually approve or deny hormone therapy based on their diagnosis of your, for lack of a better phrase, emotional, mental, and personal state not your physical condition. That's usually left to an M.D. to determine.

What magic are you talking about ? I have been on hormones for nearly 10 months now and have not experienced any magic feelings. They are not wonder drugs, men and women have both sets of hormones in them already just at different levels or varying.

Female hormones for me have helped to treat my gender dyshoria, and are giving me the changes in my body that I am happy with so far, but I don't feel in many ways that different within myself, maybe thats just me.

Someone on a British forum pointed something out to me which I think is important, unless you really accept yourself as a female phycologically all that could happen to you is you swap GID on one side for another form of GID on the other.

I self medded for 4 months, but in that time saw a endo and was later prescribed hormones, I did have blood tests done however early on, its always best to be safe than sorry !

I know who Anne Lawrence is. Are you sure you do? She may be post-op, but I do not consider her an ally of transexuals. She is a collegue of both Ray Blanchard and J. Micheal Baily. Their sloppy research and Biased views Have lead to conclusions that could very well lead to a backlash against all we have gained. The sad fact is, these people actually have some influence. When will they start listening to US, for a change? I am not a "homosexual man" or a gynophile in love with "him"self as a woman. It's bad enough we have to deal with a small faction of radical women who seek to define feminism in hateful, exclusionary ways and to destroy my credibility. But they have very little influence. These people are dangerous, in my opinion. I could give you a bunch of examples, but just google all 3 of their names, if you have the stomach for it. They are shameful. I will not stand by and suffer the patronizingly disgusting lack of respect for my existence these 3 people promote.

Hugs,

Melissa:)

Your posts really bothers me, its like you are all over the place. If you had been on hormones for 6 months then maybe tell us about the changes. Was your therapist the cogiati test? I am not trying to insult you, but you are saying things to real people that are on HRT and telling us quotes that came off the internet is wrong. Maybe you are a trans-girl, if so then I am sorry I just do not see it.

I really don't see the harm if the person is saying one thing and than saying another, maybe this person is trying to understand by getting a response out of the board by posing as something else he or she is not. I'd say about 90% of the people on forums tell fibs here and there to learn a perspective that they are trying to identify with or want to identify with by acting as an interloper to gain insight with the general populous of the board. Sounds like the person is playing on both sides of the fence, why make a big deal?

Why not say what you mean and tell the truth? People come to this forum to learn about themselves. It doesn't work very well when people lie.

90%, huh? Welcome, but I believe most(by most, I can say with certainty that means over 50%, and that's not a fib) here would appreciate not being classified as liars. You're entitled to your cynicism, and perhaps there's a reason for that, but the assertation that it isn't harmful or a big deal says more about you than the people here. FYI: introducing oneself with such a generalization ain't real gracious. Or too smart

Melissa:)

Hi.. Spanky I would ask these ?? if you did take meds did you have your blood test.s ... did you see a endo . to be sure you could handle the meds concerned . as they can mess with your mind . for those of us who have been on h r t for 5 years or more take it with a bit more of a it will help us to be who we should be in my case a women .. to play with meds . will do many things . to your body not just what you would lkie . if its a game okay . if its for real then do your home work .. other wise you will & can kill your self ... better to be wise than dead ........i.v been dealing with meds with my s o over 36 years i know what they can do ... so be care full . its no joke i can tell you . & if you dont have some one near you ... to keep a check on you . its not good .....

I first want to say some of the things said were very hurtful. First off I would like to let you all know that I have had difficulty navigating this site, (A.D.D.) secondly my mother passed away May 10th after a long battle with Alzheimers. Everything I have posted is the truth, maybe alot out of sequence. Then I read my posts, I now understand why there was such confusion or disbelief. For this, I am so sorry. I am just looking for support and advise. I will post tommorow with everything in sequence. Thanks

Spanky,

I totally understand the disorientation and difficulty that comes from losing a close loved one. I lost four immediate family members one at a time over an 8 month period in 2005 starting with my wife of 25 years.

Please don't be hurt by the reactions of the members. All too often there are those that make posts acting like they are what they really are not and it is an insult to those working hard to move forward.

Take your time and tell us what is happening. There are a lot of great ladies here with a lot of experience more than willing to help out.

Veronica
