I really can't remember not wanting to dress like a girl. When I was very young I played a lot with the 3 girls next door and I remember wanting to be able to have long hair and wear dresses like they did. The first time I recall getting to wear girls clothes was once when my mom wanted me to try on a pink frilly dress that she was hemming for one of her friend's daughter. I must have been 7 or 8 at the time and I remember really looking forward to being able to wear that pretty pink dress, even for a few minutes.
