Roger has been nursing a wound[left index finger] that originated with a power tool cut and ended with 6 days in the hospital.two operations and round the clock iv antibiotics. That was a month ago almost and i still have 2 more weeks of healing before i can do any work and longer still before any dirty work. So,I figured maybe Rogina could find a job to keep busy with.I went for a job interview yesterday afternoon about 40 miles from home. I was running late as usual,my wife did my nailpolish in a flash,I power dried it,did my makeup and dressed and out the door in sort of record time.I wasn't late after all and caught up with the little details in the parking lot as we sometimes do.. Anyway, after going here and there later on[the mall, etc] i returned home. prior to reaching, called my wife with a 5 minute warning. She took my 7 yr old daughter in her room to play with the keyboard and keep her busy. I slipped into the house, into our bedroom, took off my wig and wigcap, took out my forms, cleaned some of my makeup off, wiped off my red fingernail polish somewhat, and i was almost ready for dinner.I changed into a skirt and top that my daughter was familiar with and I was good to go.In 5 minutes time, I was in a form that my daughter has grown accustomed to.Still had my heels on,etc.Although not every cd with a family can do this,I have stressed that I am Dad,no matter how i am dressed. My daughter has grown accustomed to it and that just makes for a whole lot better situation at home.Oh, and my wife did a quick check on me before i took my wig off ,etc and complimented me on how good I looked..and she can be quite critical! When i went to bed later,I realized that it doesn't get better than this!

Great situation that you and your wife have created with your daughter. Congratulations. It should pay off big time as she gets older, actually as all of you get older! Now for the important question: How did the interview go and for what type of job? Good luck.

Good for you. Rogina! And how lucky you are to have a supportive wife and a daughter who accepts you "as is." That injury was really "giving the finger!"

But the big question is, did you get the job??

I'm with the others. I'm happy for you in the family situation you've got; I think that is wonderful. But I'm wondering about the job. I have imagined dressing and going to an interview en femme; sometime I think that I would like to do it.
How did it go for you?

I was watching a tv show the other day...Canada's worst handyman. Can you believe the person on the show actually tried to operate a chop saw from the rear of the saw? I hope you fully recover. Glad you wife is so helpful. Anything fun happen at your interview?
