You know, Jim never cares that he's overworn any clothes. In fact I don't even think he knows what that means. But I'm sitting here today thinking about the back to back events I'll be at tomorrow and Thursday and wondering what I'm going to wear. As I went through my closet I thought, "No I've worn that a lot. No, that too." and so on and so on. Then I find myself just itching to go shopping. It's been bugging me for a few days now.

I finally get off my lazy butt and head out shopping after dinner tonight. There's a little strip mall that has TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Famous Footwear. So I start with TJ Maxx. Well I find one item after another that I like and is in my size. https://home.comcast.net/~julimarie/images/emoticons/party.gif It was like the clothing gods were smiling on me! I picked up four skirts and five tops, all on sale. I took a pass on doing any more shopping.

Can you guess what I spent? I'll give you a hint, original price for all the items is $211.00.

Julie you just showed me another part of my fem thinking. For work, Ed had his white jeans and one scrub top for each day of the week. He wore the same thing every week. Last night I was looking at what I should wear and found myself thinking, " No I cant wear that combination, I just wore that last week.

As for a guess, Im thinking 50% off sale,, so about $110

Well let's see if they were:
80% off that would be about 35$?
70% about 75$?
60% about 90$?

Honestly I'm a crappy guesser but I'd say between 20-50$ max. Am I close?

Ok, I'll play.

$92 before tax. My guess is not based on a % discount, but on how much I'd expect to pay for each item at TJ Maxx.....a couple of those tops on the left could cost as little as $7 there, especially if they were on clearance, while others (like the blue halter top) might be priced around $12. The skirts look like they'd be about $10 each, though the green one could have been even less because that color tends to be harder to sell.

Even close? No? That's ok. I'm not much of a shopper, actually, but being married to a CD has made me more interested in it than I used to be.

I'll give you another hint. It WASN'T a closeout, end of the season sale. I think it's still too soon for that.

I have no idea what those things would cost, but they're darling little skirts and tops! I'd love to have a few sets like those for me!

Well I thought I was the smart shopper and did pretty well but you girls must have some phenomenal sales in your areas. Total was $111.04 including tax which was $8.05 The cheapest item was green striped top at $8.00 and the most costly were the green and blue skirts at $14.00 each. The blue halter was $12.00.

But as I said there was no end of the season closeout, it's still too soon.

Charlene wins:D She was the closest to the final price. I do my shopping lately and get 80-90% off quality stuff(online though) So for an in-store sale that's not bad. :)
